  Tour guide was cancelled on the first part of the tour so the driver explained land marks etc. Guides in the places we visited were very knowledgeable and wonderful People. Hotel accommodation was average. Breakfast at all hotels was fantastic. The dinners at Seville and Granada were absolutely disgusting. So bad we left to eat elsewhere. Especially the burgers they served at Seville- Hotel Catolina. Noone ate them they were that bad. Wasn’t told by VPT tours that we were joining an another group. In fact I had to phone VPT tours on the second day who the tour guide is and where to meet the following day. The operator wasn’t even sure. 3 nights at Costa Del Sol was far to long. Nothing to do there in winter. Granada a tour guide is definitely needed to be shown around the town. The bus drivers were excellent and the tour group I joined the guide was very friendly and helpful. The guides I found spoke more Spanish than English. Wouldn’t recommend VPT tour to family/friends.

  Our driver can hardly speak any English. It’s good we have a tourist with us who translates. From Madrid to costa del sol, we only have our tour guide for a walking tour waiting in cordoba and Seville. I have to send a message via TourRadar to clarify that we are spending 3 nights in costa instead of 1 night because our driver said- 8:30am tomorrow in Granada for everyone as translated by the tourist. He never took us aside and tell us that we’re supposed to remain for 2 more nights and meet up with another tour guide. We have to wait for him to finish dinner and ask our tourist translator to talk to him about our concerns and then he told us we’re supposed to stay in the hotel. If we didn’t take the initiative then we would have gone with them to Granada. Although our brochure itinerary says different, I would assume that whatever the driver says is what’s current because he is the representative of the agency. The next day, we have to go to the reception desk to ascertain that our stay is for 2 more nights because our card says 1 night. The receptionist then had us sign more papers and update our key cards. I made sure that Cibeles, the tour guide, will give us a call when she arrives at the hotel just to update us of the schedule. It went fine after that but the tourists from the first van from Madrid to costa weren’t happy with the tour either. Our driver also said, lunch at torremolinos so we didn’t eat at Ronda, Then he drove us all the way to Costa, arrived there a few minutes after 3pm and everything was closed in the hotel. We didn’t know the place and he never told us the area around the hotel. All he said was we can take the train to malaga and dinner is at 8pm. Who wants to go to Malaga after 3pm when we were all tired and we have to settle our stuff in our rooms and dinner is at 8pm. We didn’t even know the hotel is all inclusive. It’s just some information would have been helpful along the way. We felt like we’ve been left alone.some small guidance would have been appreciated. Maybe I didn’t read the brochure well but I thought a guided tour is a tourist van or bus with a tour guide in it that will update us all the way. At least that’s what cosmos did when I went on a tour with them. We have our own guide and driver all the way from Calais to Rome.
