I am looking to do this trek - will be solo by that point as my travel companion will have returned home. I have not travelled solo before so am unsure of safety etc travelling from Lima alone. Could you advise the best way to do this and also is it possible to join a group for this trek please?

If you're travelling solo I would highly recommend travelling & trekking in and around Cusco, it's much more friendly with a better travel infrastructure than Huaraz. I don't know how many days you have available but would recommend one of the following treks: Santa Cruz 4 Days, Mini-Huayhuash 4 Days, Huayhuash 8 Days. You'll be able to organise when you're in Huaraz, you'll find plenty of agencies there offering group treks.

This was a great experience! I would definitely recommend it. The itinerary was perfect, with the first day to acclimatize, second day summit, and third day return to Cusco. We even got to visit the hot springs in Pacchanta. My guide Irvin was simply amazing. He was super positive, motivational, and very knowledgeable. I would love to tour with Unu Raymi again.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before February 9th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 9th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Unu Raymi Expeditions. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Unu Raymi Expeditions will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
