  16 Day Egypt and Nile Cruise Tour Tour was quite good. Ancient Egypt Tours had everything arranged nicely. Our 2 main guides were excellent in Cairo (Amr)and in Luxor and on the river cruise (Mohammed). Both were very knowledgeable and keen to share with us and to cater to our wishes (usually to cut things a bit short). All arrangements with the drivers were 100% - on time and he/they knew the route and destinations well. Although we were prepared for it we had to buy tickets for all the attractions (museums, temples, etc.). The guide usually had a way to bypass long lines, so everything worked very well. The river cruise ship (Coral 2) was ok. Everything worked but is well used and is in need of a major refurbishment. Sharma El Sheikh is a nice resort – especially if you have children. Beach is nice but no real swimming -too shallow then a coral reef, then a big deep drop off. Several good pools, lots of chairs and umbrellas. While everything did work well, Ancient Egypt Tours seemed reluctant to share travel details at the beginning and for the last few days– what hotel, where/when to meet driver, etc.Show more

  I would have given a 5-star rating but reluctantly gave 4-star- see below. The tour definitely was an all-encompassing and in-depth experience of Egypt. From the Pyramids of Giza, I ran out of adjectives to describe the beauty and magnificence of the temples and awe-inspiring statues and sculptures - Abu Simbel just wow, the Valley of the Kings, Edfu & Kom Ombo too many to mention. I want to thank Salwa who was the coordinator and point person for all tour related details. All my guides and drivers were excellent throughout the tour especially to Dina in Cairo and Port Said, and of the course the drivers, who navigated through the crazy and chaotic traffic in Cairo with a very special shout out to Mohamad Hamada who took care of me and made sure I got to my destinations safely he is a real asset to the company and you would be very lucky to have him assigned to you. As I said the only reason I gave 4-stars is that a couple of the pick up times especially on my arrival were very late and some of the optional tours were a little overpriced. But overall I had an exceptional experience with Ancient Egypt Tours.Show more

  Words cannot express how wonderful this tour to Egypt was. Ancient Egypt Tours was with me all the way. Transfers to and from the airports and pick ups between the sights were seamless. Hotel accommodation was much better than expected and in general people in Egypt were so friendly including all the drivers, guides and hotel staff. A special thank you to my tour guide Gabriel on the Nile cruise. His knowledge was impeccable. The cruise was amazing and after such a jam packed first week in Egypt it was nice to get to Sharm Sheik and relax a little by the seaside with buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners included. I took the optional tour climbing Mt Sinai while there and it was worth it for the beautiful sunrise at the top. My desert experience there was also a highlight of the tour. Salwa from Ancient Egypt Tours kept in touch with me all the way and was just a text away if I had any questions about the tour. On the way to the airport my driver stopped and brought me a turkish coffee and a huge box of Egyptian sweets as a farewell gift. I have recommended this tour to all my friends and acquaintances I met while on holiday. It was simply superb and I would do it again! Thank you, Salwa and Ancient Egypt Tours.   In terms of organization the tour was really organized, there was always someone picking you up and taking you to the hotel. Internal flights well organized as well. Would have liked to know that this was a private tour before, because I had no idea. Some guides were really pushing me to buy overpriced items and got angry when I didn’t wanted to but something. For example the camel ride or the cartuche jewelry. I felt there was always the pressure to keep buying things, like overpriced tours or souvenirs, and its not ok. The driver in Cairo was more concerned of his phone rather than driving. The phone took 60% of his attention! Honestly I think is a nice country but take a group tour and pick it in your country with a well known agency. You will enjoy it so much more.Show more

  It was a wonderful 16 days trip, especially under the Corona conditions! Ancient Egypt, agency that organized the round trip, has done a tremendous job and made sure everything fits to the programe. It was a hot time, but they took care to organize the main visits to the tempels early in the morning or sometimes late afternoon, si that we could enjoy the astonishing beauty of the ancient Egyptian civilization. We had two very goog guides (Walid in Cairo and Alexandria and Mohamed in Luxor and Aswan), both good egyptologist that explained in details the history of the Pharaoh civilization and have been very helpful alltogether with all our needs and special request. We have thought it is going to be an acceptable holiday, giving all the circumstances: Corona restrictions and out of season trip, but it has ended to be a memorable one!
