Day 3 (18 February): Sand safari in the morning with sandboarding in the dune then free time in the city. Day 4 (19 February): Drive early morning to the black desert on the morning and then go to the White desert in the afternoon and camp there for the night. Day 5 (20 February): White desert visit and then back to Cairo to arrive at night around 7pm. At which cost?

We got paired with a couple doing a 2 day tour, and so we did everything the first day. By the second day there was nothing left to do, unless we wanted to pay extra. That was a surprise to us, considering I was told we wouldn't need any cash for anything other than tipping. So we ended going back to Cairo with the first group a day early. So I don't feel like got what we paid for. Having said that, our guide the first day was amazing and kind. The landscape we saw was unreal. But I would do the 2-day tour over the 3 knowing what we know now.Show more

The following day we set out with Mohammed to the Black and White deserts. Magnificent! Mohammed took us to beautiful vistas and drove so skilfully through the dunes. Aqabat mountain was our particular favourite – it will take your breath away. We then rested with a warm fire and dinner under the stars, before heading back to the camp for lunch in Bahariya and then driving back to Cairo. A perfect start to our Egyptian holiday.Show more
