Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Kathmandu International Airport where your tour representative meets you and gets you settled into your hotel. After that, the afternoon and evening are open for you to wander through the city on your own terms. Everyone gathers later for a welcome dinner to kick things off.

Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
Following breakfast, there's a trip orientation meeting to cover logistics and expectations. Then you'll drive 132km north to Syabrubesi, which is where the trekking actually starts.

Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel
The trek begins from Syabrubesi along mountain trails with suspension bridges crossing overhead. You'll pass through forests and small settlements, spotting waterfalls and hot springs. Keep an eye out for red pandas and Himalayan black bears if you're lucky. By evening you reach Lama Hotel (Changtang) for the night.

- Day 4
Lama Hotel to Langtang
Today involves hiking through steep forests of hemlock, oak and maple mixed with rhododendrons before the valley opens up into a U-shaped glacial formation. You'll stop at Ghumba village to check out the gompa, then continue to Langtang where you can see twin waterfalls and Langtang II peak (6581m) in the distance. Various birds are around throughout the day.

- Day 5
Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa
The trek continues through small villages and yak pastures, passing by a yak wool shop along the way. You'll reach Kyanjin Gompa by midday, giving you time to acclimatize and explore the monastery grounds, including the Nyingmapa school. Dramatic icefalls from Langtang Lirung and Kimshung peaks create the backdrop from here.

- Day 6
Kyanjin Gompa
This is a flexible day in the Kyanjin area. You can hike up to Kyanjin Ri viewpoint for panoramic views, or head into the Lirung valley where you'll see Langtang Lirung, Kimshung (6781m), and Yansa Tsenji (6575m) along the Tibet border. Himalayan tahr often appear on the slopes. There's also the option to explore Kimshung Glacier with short side climbs possible.

Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
You'll head back down from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel, retracing the same trail from Day 3. It's a straightforward descent following the path you came up on.

Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi
Continuing the descent, you trek from Lama Hotel back to Syabrubesi, going through forests and settlements again. The suspension bridges and waterfalls you saw before appear as you make your way down.

Syabrubesi to Chandanbari (Sing Gompa)
From Syabrubesi, the trek heads through forests with steady climbing and ridge views. Ganesh Himal comes into view as you ascend. You'll reach Dursagang, then continue through rhododendron forests to Phoprang Danda ridge before climbing to Chandanbari (Sing Gompa) monastery, which has a distinctive Newari-style door frame.

- Day 10
Chandanbari to Gosaikund
After trekking through deep forests, you reach Chalang Pati saddle and enter the Gosaikund protected area. From there it's a climb to Laurebina Yak (3920m) with views of the Annapurnas, Manaslu (8156m), Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Lirung. The final push goes through alpine terrain above the treeline to reach Gosaikund, the third and largest sacred lake in the chain.

Gosaikund
You'll spend the day around Gosaikund sacred lake, which has a Shiva shrine and a helipad. Climb a ridge to two viewpoints at 4640m decorated with prayer flags. If you're up for more exploring, faint trails lead south to smaller half-frozen lakes like Dudh (Milk) Kund, Chandra (Moon) Kund, Ragat (Blood) Kund, and Ama (Mother) Kund, with views of Chhyarkung Chuli peak.

Gosaikund to Tharepati
This is a long and strenuous day starting from the north side of Gosaikund. You'll pass more small lakes to Laurebina Yak Pass, then descend by streams to Bhera Goth. The lower trail through the Phedi valley is safer than the upper route, taking you across moraines and rocky ground through forests and ravines. By day's end you're at Tharepati (3440m), possibly catching sunrise views of Dorje Lakpa, Shisha Pangma and peaks toward Khumbu.

- Day 13
Tharepati to Gul Bhanjyang
Starting with a steep descent through dense pine forest to Magin Goth (3285m), then climbing to Mere Danda (3510m). After crossing Yurin Danda ridge with views of sawtooth peaks, you trek through fir and rhododendron forests to Kutumsang (2450m). From there you cross a small pass and descend to the Tamang village of Gul Bhanjyang.

Gul Bhanjyang to Chisopani
The day takes you through a series of Tamang villages and other settlements. You'll pass a gleaming white chorten on the way to Thotong (2260m), then climb through rhododendron forests to Lapchu Danda (2420m) with good peak views. Continuing down to Chipling (2170m), then through Thakuni Bhanjyang to Pati Bhanjyang (1770m). The final stretch is a muddy, zigzagging path through pine plantations leading to Chisopani village.

Chisopani to Kathmandu
You'll trek from Chisopani across Borlang Bhanjyang pass (2440m) and down the Shivapuri ridge to the road at Sundarijal. Your tour representative picks you up and drives you back to your hotel for a relaxed afternoon. There's time to shop for gifts and souvenirs, and in the evening everyone meets for a farewell dinner to go through photos and swap stories from the trek.

Kathmandu Departure
You'll be driven to Kathmandu airport for your onward flight. If extending your trip works for you, the operator can arrange additional activities like national park game drives, rafting, mountain biking, or trips to Tibet, India, or Bhutan.
