  How many Christmas markets do you visit? How long are you there? What are the dates? If we extend our stay before or after, is there skiing close by?

    During our Christmas Markets on the Danube cruise, we visit three cities renowned for their Christmas markets: Vienna, Budapest and Bratislava.
    
    In each city, a guided city tour takes place in the morning. Afterwards, guests have the flexibility to choose between returning to the ship for lunch and then exploring the Christmas markets independently, or staying in the city to continue exploring before making their own way back to the ship.
    
    The Christmas markets are located in or very close to the city centres, making them convenient to visit.
    
    Regarding skiing, there are several ski resorts within reach of Vienna if you would like to extend your stay before or after the cruise. For example:
    
    • Semmering – approximately 100 km from Vienna
    • Stuhleck – approximately 100 km from Vienna
    • Hochkar Bergbahnen – approximately 160 km from Vienna

    Of the various Christmas cruises you offer which are the better markets and closest to the ski resorts?

    Both the Rhine and Danube Christmas markets are very interesting and beautiful, although they offer a bit different experiences.
    
    The Christmas markets along the Rhine are generally in smaller cities and towns, with a charming, almost fairy-tale atmosphere. The Danube markets are also very charming, but the cities are larger and more grand, as they include the former imperial capitals.
    
    Regarding the proximity to ski resorts, Vienna is generally closer to the ski areas than Düsseldorf.

    I see you have a couple cruises on the Danube and at least one on the Rhine. What airports would you use to fly in for these trips?

    For our Danube cruises, we recommend flying into Vienna International Airport (VIE).
    
    For our Rhine cruises, the most convenient airport is Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS).

    When we mention that no entrance fees are included, it means that during the panoramic tours no tickets are required, as the visits focus on exploring the cities from the outside rather than entering monuments or attractions.
    
    An excursion package may be available free of charge if the minimum group requirement is reached (at least 10 passengers speaking the same language). This includes:
    
    • City tour of Vienna
    • City tour of Budapest
    • Guided walk through Bratislava
    
    Our prices include:
    
    • Full board from dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last
    • Drinks (served by the glass): draft beer, house red or white wine, soft drinks, water, coffee, and tea (from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)

    We are currently pending final confirmations from port authorities, thus, at this moment I cant provide you with an exact embarkation address in Vienna. On MS Albertina, you will experience a classic river cruise with comfortable staterooms and fine dining. Main deck cabins are 13m2 and have small window. Double cabins on the middle and upper decks are 14m2 and have French balconies. Single cabins are 9m2. All cabins have shower/WC, self-regulating air conditioning, telephone, minibar, hair-dryer, safe.

    We dont't charge a 2 year old child if accommodated in a cabin with two adults. We only include fixed expenses as port and fuel taxes for every passenger.

    The cruise from 16 December is cancelled. We can offer you two alternative options: 08-12 December Dusseldorf - Dusseldorf or 12-16 December Dusseldorf - Frankfurt. Please advise if any of these dates is suitable for you
