The itinerary included interesting sights and experiences in all the cities we visited. There were also optional activities so you could do more or less. Our group got along very well which made it even more enjoyable. Some more free time for shopping would have been nice during the walking tours. One Life AdventuresOperator•Written December 2025With that in mind you could in theory depart on Day 12 and get a train/private taxi as you wouldn't be missing out on much from Day 12 or 13 (apart from exploring Dehli, having a goodbye dinner and breakfast with the group). You would need to arrange the transport yourself on Day 12, but you can speak to your guide who can help and advise what's best.

The only departure that would really work for you with us is our 6 day Northern India Snapshot tour, running from December 1st until December 6th, starting and ending in New Delhi.

Any optional extras can be organised with the assistance of your tour guide whilst you are on tour. The budget backpacker: 15-20k Rs (basic meals, happy hour drinks, small donation to local projects). The mid-range spender: 20-25k Rs (a-la-carte meals, sprit & mixers, yoga classes/ massages, local SIM, donation to local projects). Here's the correct itinerary for Day 6 of the India tour: After breakfast in the morning, you'll take a private transfer to Pushkar, known as one of the holiest towns in India. Pushkar is a backpacker's paradise with amazing food, beautiful markets, rolling landscapes, hiking and unrivalled sunsets. In the afternoon, a local Brahmin will induct you to Pushkar properly with a blessing on the holy lake and you'll grab a drink at a lakeside cafe before heading back to your accommodation for the night.

Regarding the Holi Festival, as much as this is a joyous period and quite spectacular, it can also come with its concerns for the safety of females. Therefore, it is fully advised to watch this event from the safety of your hotel room and at a distance. Once you have arrived in India, do communicate with your guide to get an opinion for an alternative safe spot to enjoy the festival. Regarding a private Holi party, this may be worth communicating with the tour guide or the hotel about.
