Pros: The staff of WTX did a fantastic job of taking care of me and making sure I didn't get lost. My driver, Rakesh, even took me to the Delhi airport to retrieve a bag that the airlines had neglected to put on a plane out of the US. The guides were also excellent and were very knowledgeable about the places we went and were able to answer all of my questions. They kept in close contact via phone and WhatsApp... Food is also very good. Cons: I'm not sure if this is universal or if it's because everyone's had lean years with Covid, but at the end of each tour I was taken to artisan shops where I was pressured to make expensive purchases. I wanted to be generous, and to be fair, they were very good quality items, so I bought a number of things. However, because I was the only tourist they had and I was traveling alone, I felt pressured to buy. Be wary of this. Also, the hotels are not affiliated with WTX and WTX seems to be constantly changing hotels due to availability and feedback that they receive, which is good. However, Goa was a disappointment. The hotel was more or less fine, but Anjuna "Beach" is not really a beach. It's a bunch of red dirt and tide breakers swarming with locals. It is not a place to relax. Evidently South Goa is much nicer in terms of location. Finally, take LOTS of cash. I had no idea how many people would be asking for baksheesh, nor how many restaurants I would be taken to that did not take credit cards. This is especially a problem because most ATMs in India DO NOT take American credit and debit cards. I would recommend taking at least 500 USD for conversion to rupees.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with World Travel Experiences. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
