  We are a couple in our 60s and we can not share room with other people. We would like to have private room please.

  Just checking if age groups are flexible? I'm a young 58 year old, so looking at the 18-49 age group. Would this be a problem, and is the accommodation twin share (I am a solo traveller).

  On the Japan 13 day tour do the buses have toilets on them and are the hostels private rooms and bathrooms or do you share rooms and bathrooms.

    We mainly travel by train throughout Japan. The longest journey without toilet access would usually be around 1.5 to 2 hours. On the larger trains there are toilets available on board.
    
    Accommodation is in shared hostel style rooms with shared bathroom facilities. If you would prefer your own private room, that can sometimes be arranged. We would just need to check availability for your dates.

  We love the itinerary and it looks fantastic overall. We were wondering if it would be possible to stay in hotels instead of hostels, with each couple having their own private room. Additionally, do you offer this itinerary as a private tour for a group of six people?

    Our Japan Adventure 13 day includes the absolute best of Japan, plus some off the beaten path experiences, amazing accommodation, an instant group of friends and an awesome group leader to take care of everything. Hang out with red faced snow monkeys, wield a samurai sword, stay overnight in a 1000 year old buddhist temple with local monks are just some of the many highlights!
    
    It wouldn't be possible to run a private group for 6 people, but we certainly look into the possibility of 3 private rooms for you on one of our Group departures. The only time of year where private rooms can never be organised is during Cherry Blossom season (March/April) due to availability during peak season.
    
    The private rooms would be booked at the same accommodation as the rest of the group are staying. It wouldn't be possible to have you staying at different hotels due to the effect that would have on logistics and the group dynamic, sorry about that! There is one location where it isn't possible to have a private room, Hakone, but we can book you into private rooms at all other accommodations (subject to availability).
    
    That said, we strongly recommend not having a private room for the 2 nights in Nagano and the 1 night in Koyasan as the traditional Ryokan and Buddhist temple shared is very much part of the experience!

    If your plans were to change and you were no longer able to travel with us then the policy is as follows:
    Up to 30 days before departure: Forfeit deposit
    Within 30 days of departure: 100% forfeit of the tour cost.
    
    We do have flexible options to help change your dates and tour if needed though!

    We do want to be upfront that our tours are designed and capped for travellers aged 18–49. This age range isn't about ability, attitude, or enthusiasm, it's simply how we've shaped the style and dynamic of our groups, so that everyone has the experience they've come to expect. Majority of our group members are usually in their 20s and 30s.

    All transport while on the trip is included, along with your accommodation, activities, and some meals. You will need to arrange your own transport to the start of the trip and back from the end of the trip. Your Group Leader will also be on hand to help you sort out all your onward travel while you're there, making sure you feel comfortable and confident about where you're going next

    You will need to organise your visa yourself and in advance. Depending on your nationality you may have different requirements for the application. We aren't experts in visa, so if you have any concerns about your eligibility for a visa, we'd recommend you organise this and then you can book onto our tour with confidence.

    We set an age range to make sure the style, pace, and overall vibe of our group tours stays consistent for everyone. Our trips are designed specifically for travellers aged 18–40s, which is why we have a maximum age limit of 49. This isn't based on attitude, fitness or ability. It's simply about maintaining the trip style and group dynamic that our travellers come expecting.

    Our tours are for over 18's only, however, we can allow 17 year olds to join in certain destinations with a signed parental consent form. Unfortunately, as your children are younger than the allowed age, we will not be able to get them booked on a trip at this time. However, we'd absolutely love to have them join one of our tours once they turn 18.
