Hendri was extremely passionate about his job and culture, he was very knowledgeable and was able to provide some really interesting facts and answer all questions asked. From the start, he was incredibly helpful, assisting with rides from the airport and even helping arrange our taxi back when it was time to leave.
Hendri is a fun hearted, genuine, and very happy-go-lucky person who clearly loves the job he has. Having him as our leader for the trip made everything run smoothly. He kept our group organized and on schedule the entire time, making sure we made it to every destination without stress. His positive attitude and sense of humor really added to the experience and made each day more enjoyable.
He also shared so much knowledge about Balinese culture, explaining traditions and the reasons behind them in a way that helped connect them to my own culture back home in Canada, and the differences between each culture. It made the trip feel much more meaningful than just visiting the tourist sights.
It was also incredibly helpful to have someone who could speak the local language. Whether we were navigating markets where vendors were eager to make a sale, arranging taxis, trying to explain complicated food orders or allergies to the restaurants. Hendri helped communicate clearly and made the whole experience feel much more comfortable and safe.
I will be recommending intro travel to my friends and speak very highly about Hendri. His friendly personality and local knowledge make the experience so much better, and as a solo traveler it really made the whole trip feel easier and more relaxed.

This was my first solo trip, and what made it so unforgettable was our incredible guide, Hendri. His warm, bubbly, and easy-going nature created such a positive and relaxed atmosphere from day one. He made every part of the tour feel smooth, safe, and fun — I truly felt like I was in the best hands.
Hendri has a special gift for making people feel seen, heard, and included. His energy brought our group together and made us feel like a little travel family. He clearly communicated each day’s plans, answered all our questions with patience and care, and was always happy to help organize extra activities or give suggestions to make the most of our free time.
What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about our experience. His deep knowledge of Balinese culture added so much meaning to the places we visited, and his humor and kindness made every day enjoyable. I’ve never laughed so much on a trip or felt so connected to a group of strangers.
I feel incredibly blessed and thankful to have had Hendri as a guide. He turned what could have been a nerve-wracking first solo trip into one of the most joyful and memorable experiences of my life. I’d travel again in a heartbeat if I knew Hendri was leading the way.

All the activities were amazing and special in their own way. I loved that we did so many different things: from surfing, snorkling with turtles and dolphin safari, to temples, rice fields and visitin…All the activities were amazing and special in their own way. I loved that we did so many different things: from surfing, snorkling with turtles and dolphin safari, to temples, rice fields and visiting a local family. And of course the epic nights out. The itinerary and the different locations we stayed, really provided a good introduction to the overall vibe in Bali, and made me want to explore Bali and Indonesia a lot more.The organization of the trip was also smooth, and there was a nice balance between organized activities and free time. Lastly, the guide made the whole adventure perfect. He exceeded expectations with his positive energy and gave us such a fun time. He was also always there when we needed anything, and you could tell he genuinely cared about every one of us.

I think we got really lucky with our leader Hendri! When I went surfing before the trip, loads of the staff told met that Hendri is the best and that was true. The man might sleep few hours, but he’s always happy and ready to help you out. Even after my trip he helped me with ferries and other Intro trips. The nights with him and the group are unforgettable and the laughs were unparalleled.
Planning to do the Australia trip soon, but I wish that Hendri would come on that trip too. It feels more like traveling with a friend, rather than a staff member

Overall the tour leader made this trip a great experience!

I needed to go to hospital during my tour, which he came with me for, kept checking in with me, brought me food, did everything he possibly could. He even gave me his own shoes when I tripped over in my flip flops! He sorted all our transfers for us including extra places we wanted to go and always came in with great recommendations. Hendri is the absolute best in the business and couldn’t recommend him enough!

The surfing was a great experience however the group wasn’t aware if we swallow the sea water or it goes up your nose it can make you very poorly, around 5/6 people were sent to the clinic after the surfing. Next time, a warning of this may be appreciated.
The tour guide was very good at handling with the medical emergencies and everyone eventually felt better.

Hendri was an amazing guide! He has endless energy and kept everyone’s spirits high plus knows where all the good karaoke bars are. Hendri always let us know the day before what the plan for the next day would be, what time to get up, what to bring etc so always felt prepared. I was unwell for part of the trip and Hendri helped massively both in getting me to the clinic and explaining what was going to happen/what forms needed filling in.

Intro Bali was a great tour! We did amazing activities from scuba diving and snorkeling to seeing monkeys and a volcano hike. Everything was well organized and Hendri was a great trip leader!

He legit took care of every detail and was so organised so that we could all have the best holiday and not have to worry about anything. It was clear everyone he crossed paths thought really highly of him and he made such an effort to show kindness have positive relationships with all the locals we met along the way. Some of the experiences you do on intro travel are really memories for life - things like meeting the most beautiful family in a local village and exploring the ocean looking for dolphins and sea turtles and exploring rice fields. I found the accommodation to be of a high standard and in beautiful locations. All hotels had pools which was another bonus. There was some bugs in the rooms as expected in hotter climates but didn’t really bother me at all.
The activities where well planned out and ranged from physical activists such as surfing to visiting a local family and learning about local culture.
We had Hendri as our group leader and he was amazing. He helped us to organise additional activities such as scuba diving and jewellery making as well as transport. He was always there to answer any questions we had and was good at keeping us informed about all aspects of the trip. There wasn’t one moment I felt unsafe on the whole trip. His energy and laugher and infectious. We had one particularly difficult member of the group but he went above and beyond with a smile and ensured it didn’t effect the rest of the groups mood.
We had originally planned to do the 12 day tour but decided to extend our trip to the 15 days due to how much we enjoyed the 12 days Hendri sorted this out for us quickly and with 0 stress.
Before leaving the tourer put a deposit down for another intro travel location with other members of our group.

I really enjoyed this tour, it was the first time I had travelled through any tour company and I thought it was extremely well run. Our tour guide Hendri was incredible, he made us laugh, encouraged us to push ourselves outside of our comfort zones and was available to help day or night. Hendri went out of his way to make sure that we all had the best time and always felt safe while travelling. We had one particularly difficult group member, but Hendri dealt with this without a sweat. He happily got up during the night to come to this persons aid and even swapped rooms with them because they weren’t happy.
Our group became really close during our trip and I believe that is a testament to Hendri’s welcoming and light hearted nature and his ability to provide fun and engaging activities for all the group to join in on.
After my experience on the intro travel to Bali tour I will definitely be looking to book another tour through intro again!

Hendri was a fantastic group leader, I felt like he made the effort with everyone in our group together and on a 1-2-1 basis. Hendri was great at making me feel comfortable and come out of my shell, I also noticed this with other people in the group, so it was lovely to see that he cared about everyone's experience. He always had a smile on his face even when answering the same questions repeatedly throughout the day, from us travellers who were so care free we couldn't retain information, he was patient and kind and genuinely made the trip such a memorable experience. Beyond Hendri we met locals, staff members, workers etc, everyone was polite and pleasant, willing to go that extra mile. I do not think I had a memorable negative experience during my time with Intro. It truly was a wholesome trip filled with fun, laughter, happy tears, and memories I hope to never forget.
Thank you Hendri and thank you Intro for helping me get my MoJo back!

Hendri was an amazing guide who was well involved in both planned activities and excursions the group planned on free mornings and afternoons. During the trip I fell unwell and he was very quick to assist me in finding a doctors, had I not had this help, I would’ve had trouble as this is not a process I have had to go through before. There was no stage during the trip where I felt things were unorganised or like Hendri was unsure of what was next. I would definitely like to do another tour with intro in the near future!
