There was a good balance of activities and the stops we made were incredible. Our guide, Hendri was absolutely amazing. He brought the laughs, the energy, and knew soo much about Bali. He was so much fun and always on top of it. He’s super helpful with anything you need, especially for a laugh. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour leader honestly. Asked on October 10th, 2025I'm looking into the Bali Intro 12-day trip (ideally January 22 to February 2) and had a few questions about the package: 1. Rooming / accommodations I'm planning to go solo for now, but there's a chance a friend may join me closer to the date. Would I be able to request that we room together later (if they join)? What's your policy or deadline for making roommate changes? 2. Extra cash for activities From what I see, most activities are covered in the package. Should I just budget for meals, drinks, and optional extras in my free time? Are there any "hidden" costs I should be aware of (entrance fees, local transport, etc.)? 3. Discounts / promotions Does this trip ever go on sale (e.g. around Black Friday or other promotional periods)? Do you offer promo codes or discounts? I'm willing to wait if there might be a better price later.
INTRO TravelOperator•Written October 2025The majority of our group members are solo travellers, so you'll all be in a similar situation. We room all solo travellers of a similar age together where possible, and always of the same gender (excluding multi-share accommodation). Many of our group members find their new travelling bestie on tour = we LOVE to see it! If your friend does decide to join you then just let us know and we can ensure you're roomies throughout. We do the initial rooming allocation list a couple of weeks before you go so there's no need for you both to book simultaneously. All your activities, accommodation, transport and some of your meals are included, so you won't need to spend too much money. We usually recommend taking around £600 or equivalent with you, but this obviously depends on how much shopping you're going to do and how many beers or cocktails you want to enjoy. It's best to take a Visa, MasterCard debit, credit card, or a travel money card with you. As well as a backup PIN-protected card to keep elsewhere (e.g. with your passport) in case you lose the primary one. There are ATM's and money exchanges available throughout Bali so it's easy to get access to cash meaning there is no need to carry large amounts around with you. We don't have an inside eye on upcoming sales and promotions but we have run Black Friday deals in the past. Just don't wait too long to book in case your preferred start date fills up!

I just wanted to mention that we are opposite genders, and I'm not 100% certain that he will be joining, as we'll be coming from different countries. Is that okay? I'm happy to confirm and provide details a few weeks before the trip starts as well. I also have a few other questions: - For these trips specifically, what would you say is the average group size, and the typical age and gender distribution? On average, how many travelers are solo versus traveling in pairs?

If your friend does decide to join you later, just let us know and we can allocate you together - even if you're opposite genders. We just need to know prior to the departure date. Group sizes for the Bali Intro 12-day are usually around 4 - 20 travellers, and the average age range tends to be mid-20s. The majority are solo travellers (usually around 80–90%), with a mix of both guys and girls - it's always a really friendly and social vibe.

The 3rd September group has 12 travellers aged 18 to early 20s, with some in their late 20s, 30s and 40s, mostly from UK/Ireland and some Europeans. We can look into a private room for you, rooming you with someone of the same gender and similar age.

As there are no activities planned, you can choose to arrive at anytime on day 1. An airport transfer is available 24/7 so we will still be able to get you picked up from the airport. By the time you arrive, the group will most likely be out for dinner/drinks but you will always be able to catch up with them the following morning at breakfast.

Our Bali Intro trip gets mainly people aged 18-40 and is a very social and adventure based tour. We are more than happy to have you on this adventure with us, but I thought I might recommend our Bali Experience trip which is full of adventure and fun, but is a bit more luxurious. Bali Experience is more for 18-50's and stays at some amazing accommodations.
