I am 49 next year when the trip starts in September. I already joined the Japan trip with Lissy this October and I love (d) this type of travelling. The trip shows 18-39, so I am not sure?

We have recently updated our age policy and our maximum age limit is now 49. As you will be 49 at time of travel, we can absolutely still accept your booking. The majority of the group may also be in their 20s and 30s. But, as long as you have an appetite for adventure and are happy bonding with people of all backgrounds, you'll fit in perfectly!

Are we able to sign up for this trip? We are 69, 80 years old, in reasonable good health.

We do have a maximum age limit of 55 for these tours, as most of our travellers tend to be in their 20s and 30s. Because of this, we don't think this particular trip would be the best fit for you. You may find that Intrepid Travel or G Adventures have some suitable tours for you.

Will we see the underwater statues of Gili Meno?

While you are staying on Gili T the group will do a snorkelling trip that will visit the statue by Gili Meno. If for any reason the boat is not able to visit the statues on that day then you will also have plenty of free time where you will be able to visit, but this usually is not an issue!

I recently just finished the Epic Indonesia 19 day tour with Tess as my group leader and I cannot begin to describe how incredible this trip was for me. I’ve come away from this trip with so many memories and stories for life as well as new friends that I’ve already got plans to see soon. Tess went above and beyond to make sure that everyone’s trip was enjoyable and smooth running as well as making sure that during each activity everyone felt supported, included and encouraged to try new things. This made the group dynamic enjoyable and therefore found it super easy to get on with everyone. Some highlights of the trip were trekking up Mount Batur and scuba diving in Gili T - two experiences that I never thought I would do! I would definitely recommend doing the full 19 days as the Komodo islands were incredible and the group experience of living on a boat was so fun. You could tell that this is a company that puts a lot of thought into their tours, down to the small details like their efforts to give back to local communities across the trip as well as their conscientious Small Change initiative as a company. I cannot recommend both Tess as a group leader and this tour enough to someone and am so glad that I ended up doing this trip.Show more

The itinerary was perfectly balanced, offering a great mix of adventure and cultural experiences, while still giving us just the right amount of chill time to relax between activities.   Uluwatu Temple is not part of the Epic Indonesia trip. You will visit rice terraces while in Bali. Bali Swing from Ubud can be visited during free time. Taman Beji Griya Waterfall is recommended instead of Pura Tirta Empul for a more personal water/purification ceremony experience.
