During the trip, you had requested a change to hotels that match European standards, which are generally comparable to 4-star or 5-star hotels in India. Such standards are typically not found in the 3-star category.   Overall the organisation and guides were excellent special mention to my driver Kumar who I spent most time with on those long hours on the road. A few suggestions for improvements in my opinion which would improve the customer experience 1. Let the client choose where they go to eat upon arrival at Agra. I was taken to sizzler and I did not want to have that sort of meal at that time 2. The standard of the hotels varies enormously from a small windowless box room at Delhi to a lovely spacious traditional hevali at Jaipur. The standard should be the same I think 3. Why was I not informed the hotel at Varanasi was a vegetarian hotel. I did not enjoy the food as there was nothing I could eat as I could not even have omelette as eggs were not allowedShow more

  We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and the experience was one we will remember forever! I am a 32 yr old woman and have travelled twice in India before, however, on this occasion, I was travelling with my mum and she hadn't travelled outside of Europe before so I decided to book a tour to make it smoother for her and I'm so glad I did! The trip was well organised and communication with the central office team was frequent and easy before and during the trip (WhatsApp, email etc.). The pre-departure information was also great which meant we arrived confident that everything was organised and could relax and start enjoying ourselves straight away. As we moved between places we were always met by a guide or local rep which kept us reassured that everything was taken care of during our stay. Our driver stayed with us for most of the trip and he was very courteous and we felt comfortable with his driving, he was safe and in control at all times which was a relief as my mum was nervous about the driving in India. Our guides were mostly excellent, spoke good English and knew tonnes of interesting facts. However, they did vary as we had a different one in each place and naturally each had their own style and pace. I felt that overall this made the trip more interesting as we got to meet different people who were from the places we were visiting and I enjoyed hearing the information they had to share, but the downside is that one of our guides was not as good as the others and this made one day less enjoyable. Most of our hotels were good and they were all clean and comfortable. Our first hotel was a slightly lower standard to the others which didn't make the best first impression, but they got better as the trip went on. We don't have any complaints but if we were to suggest things that would have made our trip even better they'd include; - Some of the hotels being in a better location as sometimes we felt a bit stranded in the evenings, especially when we didn't want to eat at the hotel - Somedays our journey times were quite a bit longer than in the itinerary so we didn't get the leisure time we were expecting, it was fine but had we known then we would have been happy to get up and start journeys earlier in the mornings - We would have appreciated more choice at lunchtimes and some suggestions from our guides about local cuisine and dishes to try. We would have also liked restaurant recommendations in the evenings as the hotels were not always great for evening meals - We don't like shopping and sometimes felt the guides were quite keen for us to go and look at stores (handicrafts, tea, spices, jewellery) and we got a bit fatigued by this Overall I would highly recommend the trip; we were very well looked after, saw dozens of sights that we'll remember forever - from tigers at Ranthambore to sunrise at the Ganges - so I feel we got great value for money.   Earlier we had desired that we will do only Golden Triangle and Ranthambore. The company suggested us Varanasi, so we booked it and later we found our decision was absolutely excellent. Bookings & payments were made easy and the tour experience was fantastic. There were certainly no dull moments during the tour - so lively and rich with culture and heritage. Fantastic guides in every city and our driver Manjesh was very efficient. Highly recommended.Show more
