What people love about 3-week Indonesia tours
- Best Java & Bali Experience, Private Tour
We gad a great trip in Jaca & Bali. The planning was very comfortable and the guides (Roy in Java and Madeh in Bali) were very nice people, very accommodating and tried to do as much as they could to give us a good time.
- Epic Indonesia 19 Days
To be honest I booked this tour as the last hour or so of the Black Friday sales counted down. I had booked Japan, Philippines and Epic Asia (Thailand, Vietman, Cambodia) and was should I book, shouldn't I book it? I knew Intro was good, the best of the solo traveler no surcharge tour companies from doing Viva La Mexico and Croatia with them in the past. But I had never really had a desire to go to Bali, even though most Australians love going there to party, and well actually maybe that's why. But I had always wanted to see the Komodo dragons in the wild. So I looked at various ways of doing that and this tour during the sale was not that much more expensive, and you didn't have to plan anything yourself. So I kept umming and arring then just thought, ahh I'll just do it! And I am so glad I did. This turned out to be one of Intro's best or well I'd rate Philippines the best, but this was pretty close. Why well, there's the Komodo Islands. Did we see the giant lizards? Yes we did! At four different locations following our local guides from the village. We are on a boat for a few days and we also saw the usual dolphins and large turtles, but we also saw manta rays! We snorkeled with them moving not far from us. Many different individuals. You do a lot of snorkeling from the boat, and it was incredible. The boat is comfortable and a great way (think Croatia if you've done that one) to wrap up nearly three weeks with your group. Also see black tip reef sharks that swim around your ankles, similar to in the Galapogas Islands. So do the 19 days option if you've got the time. A few people extended while on the tour, but yeah it is the highlight, if you like wildlife. Former part of the trip that I wasn't that interested in was actually also really good. Sure there is a bit of hanging out at the beach and temples but not too much. Surfing lesson was really well done. Plenty of instructors out in the waves with you. Temples are different if you're all templed out from Epic Asia. We didn't too many of those either. Walking to the waterfall was a lot of fun (hint your feet are going to get wet). We visited a farm in the hills where we saw and tasted various fruits. Snorkeled where those statues in a circle are. Visited a traditional village where you get to dance/fight other people on your tour (I was selected to be referee). Monkeys, you'll see heaps on this tour, not just in Ubud, but at the top of a volcano as well! Andre Augustio was our leader for 19 days which were truly epic. He was a great leader cared about everyone, made sure those of us with dietary needs were looked after everywhere we went, Promoted his country, and always happy to answer questions. He was just what we Australians would call, a top bloke! I would call him my friend as I think everyone else in the group would too. We had a great group, everyone got along. Early twenties to I was the oldest in mid/late forties. Four guys, rest girls. This Intro Travel tour truely lived up to its name. It was indeed epic! Epic exposire to Indonesian culture! Epic scenery! Epic wildlife encounters! Epic tour guide! Epic activities (do the whitewater rafting in Ubud, not like other rafting trips I've done. This one had a lot of comedy from raft guide hyjinks, lors of cool cultural sites along the banks, no big rapids, but big fun!).
- Bali & Beyond
Where to start!! My Tour around Indonesia with Monk and Orty was amazing. The trip was full of a variety of activities suited for everyone, such as cooking classes, visiting rice fields, snorkelling and more! Monk was an amazing leader of the trip and brought great energy, which was mirrored amazingly from Orty who was representing the marketing department. The footage, photos, memories, vibes and activities were amazing and I wish I could do it all again.
