  • Day 1

    Bali to Gili Trawangan

    Take the fast boat from Bali to Gili Trawangan at 7:30-8:00 AM. The trip takes about 2.5 hours across the Lombok Strait. If you get seasick, take motion sickness pills before departure. Once you've checked in, rent a bicycle from your hotel or a local shop for about $5 per day. The island is car-free, so bikes are perfect for exploring. You can reach the best sunset viewing spots on the western side within 15 minutes by bike.

    
  • Day 2

    Three Gili Islands

    Get an early start with a snorkeling trip around all three Gilis. Head to Gili Trawangan's northeast coast before 10 AM for the best turtle spotting. Make sure to see the underwater sculptures near Gili Meno - the water visibility is usually great, so bring an underwater camera. Stop for lunch on Gili Meno and spend time on its quiet beaches. In the evening, check out the beach bars on Gili Trawangan's east coast for some nightlife.

    Gili Trawangan Activities

    You have a free day to try various activities. The diving is excellent here - PADI courses cost from $380, and single fun dives are about $40. You can also take an Indonesian cooking class, but book it at least a day ahead. Want great photos? Visit the ocean swings around 5 PM when the crowds thin out and the lighting is perfect.

    
  • Day 4

    Gili to Nusa Penida

    Spend a relaxed morning before taking the 2.5-3 hour boat to Nusa Penida. Keep in mind that rough weather can affect boat schedules, so stay flexible with your plans. Most accommodations are near Toyapakeh village, where you'll likely be staying.

    North and East Nusa Penida

    Start at the Rumah Pohon treehouse viewpoint by 7 AM to beat the crowds. Next up is Diamond Beach - the descent takes about 20 minutes on steep stairs, so wear good shoes. Visit Atuh Beach during low tide when you can walk further on the sand. Bring plenty of water and snacks since there aren't many facilities around.

    
  • Day 6

    West Nusa Penida & Return

    Head to Kelingking Beach viewpoint early to see the famous T-Rex cliff formation before it gets hot. As one traveler noted: "The hike down to Kelingking Beach is extremely steep and can be dangerous when wet - many visitors prefer viewing from the top." Visit Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong at low tide for the best experience. Take an afternoon fast boat back to Sanur, Bali.

  • Day 1

    Denpasar & Jimbaran Bay

    Land at Denpasar Airport and check into your Kuta/Seminyak hotel. Try to book flights arriving before 2 PM to make the most of your day. Get a traditional Balinese massage to shake off the travel fatigue. Head to Jimbaran Beach for fresh seafood at dinner. Get there by 6 PM to catch a beautiful sunset.

    
  • Day 2

    South Bali Beach Hopping

    Get to Melasti Beach by 8:30 AM before the crowds arrive. The turquoise waters and limestone cliffs are stunning. Stop for lunch at Single Fin bar in Uluwatu. The infinity pool views are incredible. Visit Uluwatu Temple later in the day. Bring a sarong to enter and keep an eye on your belongings. The local monkeys are known for snatching phones and sunglasses.

    
  • Day 3

    Ubud Region Exploration

    Leave at 8 AM for Tegenungan Waterfall. The paths get slippery so wear good shoes. Have lunch in Kintamani with views of Mount Batur volcano. Stop at a coffee plantation to try Luwak coffee before visiting Tirta Empul temple. Bring cash for offerings and spare clothes if you want to join the water blessing ritual.

    Ubud Cultural Day

    Visit Tegalalang Rice Terraces in the morning light. The east side offers the best photo spots. Explore the Sacred Monkey Forest but keep your belongings secure and avoid looking the monkeys in the eye. Browse the art markets in your free time. You'll get better prices after 4 PM.

    Bali to Gili Islands

    Take the 6-7 AM fast boat to Gili Trawangan. The two-hour ride can be choppy so consider motion sickness pills. Once you're settled, rent a bike to explore the car-free island. Watch the sunset from the western beach swings.

    Island Hopping & Snorkeling

    Take a snorkeling trip around the Gili Islands. Morning is best for spotting turtles near Gili Meno. "The snorkeling in Gili was crazy - seeing turtles up close was unforgettable," one visitor tells us. Stop at Gili Meno for lunch and beach time. Enjoy a beach barbecue dinner and check out the main strip's nightlife if you're interested.

    Final Morning & Departure

  • Days 1-3

    Ubud

    Begin your Bali adventure in Ubud, the island's cultural center. The trip from Ngurah Rai Airport takes about 1.5 hours. Book a flight that lands before 3 PM to skip Denpasar's rush hour traffic. Stay near Monkey Forest Road for quick access to local food and shopping. Start your first full day at Tegallalang rice terraces. Get there by 8 AM to beat the heat and tourist crowds. Bring shoes with good traction since the steps can be slippery. Later, check out Ubud Palace and browse the market. Wait until after 4 PM to shop when prices tend to be better.

    Temple Tour to Sanur

    This is a busy day of driving but you'll see some of Bali's most stunning temples. Start early and reach Ulun Danu temple by 9 AM. The morning mist floating over Lake Bratan creates perfect photo opportunities. Drive about 1.5 hours to Tanah Lot temple for an unforgettable sunset view. Remember to bring a sarong for temple visits.

    
  • Days 5-7

    Sanur Beach

    Sanur is quieter than Kuta and perfect for relaxation. The beach has gentle waters for swimming and a 5km waterfront path that's beautiful at sunrise. You can easily book day trips to Nusa Lembongan for snorkeling. For your last night, take a 30-minute drive to Jimbaran Beach. Go between 5-7 PM for the freshest seafood and sunset views. A recent visitor shared: "The beachfront seafood at Jimbaran was incredible - get the grilled snapper and eat with your feet in the sand. Much better value than the resort restaurants."
