  We very much enjoyed our trip. It introduced us to the region, and took us many places we wouldn't have found on our own without a guide. The dry stone walls everywhere in the countryside really hit you, all the work it took to build them, all the time that has passed, you are in the presence of an ancient civilization, with a large population. The early September weather was too hot for biking (38C at one point on Brač), so I would recommend looking hard at the timing. Apparently, October is the new September in Croatia, at least in the Dalmatians. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts were great. The locations were all close to restaurants and close to the water. The location in Hvar was great, you traverse the steep narrow alleys between the limestone buildings, really get the feel of the place. The routes were interesting and took us to quiet, beautiful places away from the throngs of tourists that we encountered in a couple of the cities (Split and Hvar). Glad we had the e-bikes with the heat, wouldn't have made some of the hills without that feature. The bikes could have used a bit of work, I wish our Trek e-bikes could have been tuned-up prior to the ride, especially mine, which did not shift well, and was probably ready for new discs on the rear brakes. The biggest gripe with the bikes is the numerous flats on the tube tires, they probably would not have had leaks if they were running tubeless (and would have been lighter). We couldn't really trust the tires, so we rode them pretty easy, not like the full-suspension mountain bikes they were. Had to change 3 tubes, and had to pump up tires frequently due to slow leaks (which beat changing tubes in the field). Greeted by 2 flats the last few mornings. I run tubeless tires on my own bikes, and routinely ride hard on rough surfaces in Montana and throughout the Rocky Mountains, and I've never had such a big problem with flats. I definitely recommend taking a variety of your own tools, a tube repair kit (we went through 2 spare tubes provided to us, then had to install a repaired tube), a good pump, and some lube for chains and derailleurs (dusty roads). Overall, loved the experience, would highly recommend it.Show more

  Aside from the fact that Croatia is absolutely spectacular, and idyllic in every way for a Viking trip, I felt that the way the bike trip was organized, was very confusing, lacking enough, detail, and handholding for a novice. The problem always was our luggage how to get from one point to another and worry about what happens to our luggage, contrary, to my understanding, we are selves had to take the luggage on the ferry with us, which was extremely difficult to push your bike up and into a ferry with your luggage. Many other cases are even when we got off the ferry and our luggage had to go to a hotel. There was confusion and or there wasn’t something arrange for the luggage to take it to the hotel, so what we thought would be taken care of in terms of the hassle of having a luggage on a bike trip was an essence still a hassle and deterred from the freedom that we were looking for on a bike trip . Our local man on the ground Daniel Piccini was fantastic. Quality bikes were amazing. He was very efficient and helpful and solve a lot of our problems that Anessa should’ve been solved by the company organizer, which is tour radar. It doesn’t mean I wouldn’t use to a radar again I just simply means I would ask a lot more questions and want a lot more detail before undertaking such a trip.Show more

  Our mtb Croatian trip is over. Everything went well and we had a great time. Thanks for the whole organization, it gave us the opportunity to travel with ease. The trails are well chosen. Even if the peninsula is less interesting. Maybe an option heading at the summit above Orebic and a pickup at Orebic could be even more interesting. Unfortunately, we arrived too late in Dubrovnik to pick up the car I booked. But I solved that issue. Thank you for this great opportunity!Show more
