Itinerary
- Day 1
Pisa
You'll arrive in Pisa and get settled in for the evening. There's a welcome briefing and bike fitting scheduled, so you'll have your bicycle sorted and meet the group. After that, you can head out and walk around the old town to get oriented. The Piazza dei Miracoli is right there with the famous leaning tower, so it's an easy way to start getting to know the city without putting in a big cycling effort on day one.

- Day 2
Pisa to Lucca
This morning you'll cycle roughly 35km from Pisa toward Lucca on scenic paths. You'll pass Lake Massaciuccoli with nice views of the water and across toward the Tyrrhenian Sea, ride through olive groves, and follow along the Serchio River on a dedicated cycle path. Once you reach Lucca, spend the afternoon and evening checking out the historic center and doing a circular ride on top of the city walls, which is a special way to see the town.

- Day 3
Lucca to Montecatini Terme
Today's ride covers about 40km as you head through Tuscany toward Montecatini Terme. On the way you'll pass some Baroque villas and go through the hilltop village of Montecarlo, which is known for producing good white wine. Plan to stop at a local enoteca for wine tasting and a bit of a break. From there, continue through the Valdinievole valley until you reach Montecatini, a spa resort town where you'll spend the evening.

Landmarks Montecarlo - Day 4
Montecatini Terme to Vinci
You're cycling about 55km today from Montecatini to Vinci, where Leonardo da Vinci was born. There's a museum there with his inventions and work on display, so it's worth spending time going through that. The return to your accommodation takes you through the rolling hills of the Montalbano area, which is really nice countryside. If you're feeling good by day's end, you could take the funicular up to Montecatini Alto for views and a different way to finish.

Landmarks Vinci - Day 5
Montecatini Terme to Pistoia
This is a 30km day, but it's the toughest climbing so far. You'll hit the week's biggest ascent early on, so tackle that while you're fresh. Once you get over it, take a break in the charming Medieval village of Montevettolini where you can rest and look out over the Arno valley. Later you'll cycle into Pistoia, sometimes called 'Little Florence' because of its charming squares and impressive churches that feel similar to its famous neighbor.

Landmarks Montevettolini Pistoia - Day 6
Pistoia to Florence
Today you'll cycle around 50km through flat alluvial plains between the Arno and Ombrone rivers, areas known for their plant nurseries and garden centers. You'll pass through Poggio a Caiano to visit one of the famous Medici villas. After that, the route takes you past cypress-lined avenues down to the Arno riverbanks, and then you'll follow the dedicated cycle path all the way to the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence. This is your final destination for the week.
