We particularly wanted to do a group tour and when we arrived we were told it was a private tour. We were booked into the Novotel Hivernage in Marrakesh to start the tour. I can't believe the Accor group would allow their name to this hovel. The pool area is ok but the rooms are disgusting - about 10 years overdue for refurbishment. Almost everything was broken, chipped or damaged. The shower was mouldy and generally the room was filthy. The bed was hard and the pillows were smelly. We left Marrakesh without continuing the tour. There has to be better tour companies out there!Show more

We took the 8 day tour and had an amazing experience in this beautiful country. Brahim was our guide and Said was the driver. Both of them are absolutely incredible people and did an excellent job. Although the tour could accommodate 16, we were the only two on this trip and they turned it into our own private experience. Brahim is extremely knowledgeable about the country, culture and people and always went above expectations to ensure we got the most from the tour. On top of being a great guy, he’s also an incredible photographer and took many pictures for us. Said is a safe, calm driver with a great sense of humor and we never felt endangered even on the densest or most remote roads. He’s also an effective price negotiator and secured my wife some souvenirs much cheaper than the asking price. You will drive a lot but that’s the only way to get the best of Morocco, but you have plenty of stops, see other tourists along the route and Brahim and Said make ride fun. The accommodations also exceeded our expectations and each stay is a lasting memory. The food was delicious and every meal savory and wonderful. In your itinerary you’ll receive all the information you need prior to arrival. The only point of concern I had was the tipping guide. There is a tipping recommendation for guide, driver and others and it didn’t feel like enough compensation for the incredible service we received. We went above the recommended amount and feel like it still fell short. Overall, we recommend this tour and would take it again. If you’re lucky enough to get Brahim and Said, then you’re in great hands!Show more

The tour was excellent. We saw all the main sites/cities. Tour guide Mohammed was excellent who went over and above to make our tour exciting and also the driver Younis. In 6 days we saw everything we wanted to see. However the first hotel (Novotel) was not great. They weren’t expecting us, then gave a double room instead of a twin , only one dressing gown and one towel for two people, and kept running out of cutlery and plates at breakfast . It wasn’t a great start. The other hotels were fine, clean and well situated. The Dar Rihana in Dades valley was particularly good- owners really work hard and are eager to please. Lovely rooms and excellent food- could not fault it.Show more

We ended up asking to add an additional night is Marrakesh and thankfully we were able to see Ben Yosef and the Médina. With our tour we had Private walking tour guides for just the 3 of us in Marrakech, Fes, and Rabat. We absolutely fell in love with Moroccan food, and the people were so friendly. Spending extra nights in Marrakesh at the start of the tour gave us the chance to really explore the city and even enjoy a hot air balloon ride. A lunch at Majorelle Garden is a must, and it’s best to avoid the touristy restaurants along the way. Yes, there are some long drives between cities, but it’s all worth it—it’s the only way to truly see Morocco. If you can, extend your stays here and there to rest and soak it all in.   If you choose the 18 February departure, this will be Day 1 of the tour. If you would like to add one extra night of pre-tour accommodation, you would need to arrive on 17 February. If you would like to add some extras in Marrakesh, I highly recommend adding one or two extra nights so you have the chance to explore the city more comfortably without feeling rushed.
