Itinerary
- Day 1
Lima
You'll start with a hotel pickup heading straight to Miraflores for a walking tour through the neighborhood. There's a local market where you can see fresh ingredients and try some products from the area. From there, you'll take public transportation into Lima's historic center to check out Exhibition Park, Palace of Justice, Plaza San Martín, and Plaza de Armas. The Monastery of San Francisco and its church are next on the list, and then you'll head down into the catacombs that were discovered back in 1943. Before heading back to your hotel, there's time to walk through Barranco, the bohemian district with its own character and vibe.

- Day 2
Palomino Island
Your hotel pickup happens at 10am, and you're heading to the Callao district. By 11:30am, you'll set sail to the Palomino Islands where you can see yachts, warships, and merchant ships in the area. During the boat ride, you'll pass San Lorenzo and Fronton islands while spotting fishing boats and seabird colonies, including the second largest Humboldt penguin colony around. Once you arrive at Palomino Island around noon, you get to swim freely with a large seal and sea lion colony. After grabbing a snack on the way back, you'll be at Pier Marina Yacht Club del Callao by 1pm for your return to the hotel.

- Day 3
Lima to Pachacamac Archaeological Center
A hotel pickup at 10am gets you into an air-conditioned minivan for the roughly 19 mile (30 km) journey to Pachacamac archaeological site. You'll walk with your guide through the ruins, climbing switchbacks up to the Temple of the Sun where you can see toward the coast. After that, the House of the Chosen Women is on the route, showing off those distinctive Inca-style trapezoidal doorways. Your guide shares information about the cultures that lived there and what recent excavation work has uncovered. The tour ends with your return to the hotel.
