⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well-organized but fast-paced This tour was well organized from beginning to end. We were able to see a lot in just 7 days, including the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Aswan, and Luxor. It was definitely fast-paced, but everything ran smoothly and our guide was helpful and knowledgeable. If you want to see the major highlights of Egypt in a short amount of time and don’t mind a busy schedule, this tour is a great choice.

Please, do NOT book your trip through this agency - save yourself the stress. This was a scam! I just returned from my trip, and I’m honestly heartbroken by how disappointing and exhausting it was. Without asking us (purely telling us) the agency completely changed our itinerary that we booked. We were supposed to fly to and stay in Cairo, but instead they made us take another flight only 5 hours after arriving from a 10-hour journey from Europe. Even worse, they sent us 1 hour away to a hotel in the middle of the night, only to wake up 4 hours later to drive all the way back to the airport. If they change the plan, the least they could do is book a hotel near the airport. It felt careless and disrespectful. When we arrived in Luxor, our guide spoke very basic English, making it almost impossible to understand anything. He was also sick and coughing on us while we tried to get close to listen. Watching other groups with knowledgeable guides who spoke perfectly English was incredibly frustrating. But the part that hurt the most was realizing our own guide was taking advantage of us. Because of the change of plans we were too exhausted for the hot air balloon tour which I would have really liked to do … instead our guide dragged us to places where we were overcharged—four times the normal prices after our temple visit. We were two blonde women, vulnerable in a new country, and instead of protecting us, he exploited us. It felt manipulative and honestly disgusting. He managed to make us believe the quality of the alabaster and oils are worth the super high prices. What a SCAM!!! Only on our last day, when we finally reached Cairo and had a wonderful German guide, did we see the true prices of oils, herbs, alabaster… and that’s when the shock hit us. We realized just how badly we had been scammed. It was so disappointing and left us feeling foolish, unprotected, and betrayed. I’m truly sorry to say this, but I cannot recommend this agency to anyone. In a destination as intense and overwhelming as Egypt, having an honest guide is everything. Without that, the trip you dreamed of can easily turn into a nightmare. I would strongly recommend to take this guide “Michael” out of your list so that other people do not fall into his trap! Also the contact person throughout the trip is not responsive when asking him where I can file a complaint. Just feels off.

Very good experience. The places we visited were fantastic and very beautiful. Very good food, especially on board the cruise, where we were able to enjoy the scenery and the beauty of the temples and museums that we visited.

Poorly organised tour. Itinerary was changed not to our favour. Substandard accommodation in Cairo, unclean rooms ($27 per night according to Hotelscombined). Ridiculously early morning starts, one pick up time was 1.50am. Transport buses not large enough for luggage resulting in cases being loaded into the bus through the back window restricting passenger seating. One temple I chose not to go into but stayed in the bus but was told I still needed to buy the ticket as I had seen the panorama from the bus window. What a rort. Finally we had paid for an upgrade from a train to a flight from Cairo to Aswan and Luxor to Cairo whereas other members of our tour group received this as a free upgrade. It seems we wasted over $500 per couple. Will TourRadar be refunding this unnecessary expense? All in all very little value for the money spent. Never again with TourRadar

Very disorganized. Guide was so quiet that people wandered off because they couldn't hear. Then he tried to find them. He also spoke to the walls rather than to the group. We had no information about our return from luxor until 10 hours before departure. Then we were told we were changed from the train to the plane. Had to repack and throw away a bunch of water we bought because couldn't bring 5 liters on the plane. Because tickets were not included we spent lots and lots of time waiting in lines for purchasing entry tickets. The brochure said 0-10 people. We had 12. It was too many for this tour guide. He told us that we must pay a very large tip to the cruise ship. He called us all together and then like a beggar collected the money which he counted out loud in front of everyone. One lady refused to give him so much. He totally embarrassed her in front of everyone but she didn't agree with him. He doesn't understand tip is voluntary. Charge is mandatory. Itinerary was good but poor information. Didn't know what hotel we were staying at until we arrived at the hotel so couldn't tell our friends where to meet us to visit with them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My father hadn’t been outside the country in over 30 years, and this was his very first time traveling somewhere where he didn’t share a common language. As a worried child, I wanted to make sure he was safe, comfortable, and always aware of what was going on during his trip. This tour company went above and beyond to make that happen. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. They not only ensured my dad felt safe and informed every step of the way, but they also kept me in the loop, which gave me so much peace of mind. What truly impressed me was how well they coordinated with their local partners — everyone involved treated my father with kindness and respect. They even made sure someone on the tour spoke the same language as him, which made a huge difference in his experience. I’m deeply grateful for how well they took care of him, and I’ve already recommended this company to all my friends and family. Without a doubt, I’ll be booking future trips with them very soon.

Our tour was amazing! Very busy but our wonderful guide Abdalla Fouad was brilliant at helping to fit everything into a tight schedule, giving you time to look and take photos, stop for a cuppa tea as well as explaining everything to us! The cruise was beautiful as were all the people we met!

We had the most fabulous guide from Aswan to Luxor who took the time to help us understand the events of the past, which gave us a much clearer perspective on what we were looking at. Even though we just skimmed the surface of what's available to explore in Egypt it was a good sampler and I will return

Is the hotel included in the price or do we not need to stay in a hotel

    • Itaca HolidayOperatorWritten October 2025

Yes, it's called 'one night stay at the hotel' and 'all transfers.'

I found you on line. I love the prices. But concerned I'll be staying in horrible hotels. How can these trips be so cheap.

Your accommodation is not in a bad hotel. The name of your hotel in Cairo is Locanda or something similar, and the name of the cruise ship is Renaissance or something similar. You can look them up online — they are very clean places, and you can also read travelers' reviews
