- Day 1
Innsbruck
You'll arrive in Innsbruck and pick up your tour package, which gets your Alpine hiking adventure started. This is your arrival day, so after collecting everything, you'll have time to settle in and prepare for the hiking ahead.
Landmarks Innsbruck - Day 2
Innsbruck to Fulpmes
Start by taking the tram to Mutters village, then ride the cable car up to Muttereralm mountain pastures. From there, you'll hike the Innsbrucker Almentour trail, which takes you through cabin-to-cabin views across the Alps. If the weather turns poor, an easier valley route is available instead. You'll finish the day in Fulpmes.

Fulpmes to Trins
This morning involves hiking uphill along a long-distance trail toward Sonnstein restaurant, where you get valley views from the dining area. After that, you'll continue on the pilgrimage trail to Maria Waldrast, Europe's highest monastery, which also has a restaurant if you want a break. Later you'll cross over a mountain pass near a rest cabin surrounded by flower meadows. A shorter alternative route around the hill is available. Overnight in Trins.

Trins
You'll spend this day resting in the quiet village of Trins, which sits at 1,233 meters altitude. It's a good opportunity to recover and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings before continuing further.

Landmarks Trins - Day 5
Trins to Obernberg
Follow the Romediusweg pilgrimage trail as it goes into a high valley and upwards to a mountain pass. You'll see mountain pastures, glacier-topped summits, and alpine lakes along the way. From there, descend via a mountain road or take the steep zigzag trail down to Obernberg, which is a very small mountain village. You'll stay overnight in Obernberg.

- Day 6
Obernberg to Gossensass
You have the option to walk or take a local bus into the valley, then hike to Lake Obernberg. After visiting the lake, you'll ascend to the Sandjöchl mountain pass, which gives you views of the surrounding summits. Next you'll cross the frontier into Italy and descend via a military road down to Gossensass. The descent is steep but you'll get views into the Dolomites. Overnight in Gossensass.

Gossensass to Sterzing
Take a local bus to the starting point in Innerpflersch, then hike steeply uphill past cabins with valley views to Ladurns cable car station. From there, follow a high trail with gentle ups and downs through mountain pastures and cabins, taking in views of the Alps and Dolomites. Later, ride the cable car down from Rosskopf station to Sterzing, a historic city with Mediterranean flair that marks your return from the Alps. Overnight in Sterzing.
