I do not remember the name of the guide,I think is was Babu.He really worked very hard, but unfortunatlly what they advertise about Tigers ,is not true, there are no tigers, I was told by locals, and it there were ,they would not put tourist in an open vehicle.The elephants live a miserable life, always tied by chains on the legs .Very very different from African Safaries.The "tourist bus"as they call, was an old bus ,nit really touristic It was a local bus, that instead of 6h took 13 to reach there, so I mist all the afternoon activities on the first day. The way back was also not 6 h, but 8h.Show more

Dear Teresa, Greetings from Kathmandu. Thank you very much for your comment regarding the Safari Tours. I would like to explain you again by response as i did the same while you were here too. As you did travel in the Dashai festival time, this is our biggest festival therefore all the people they go back home to celebrate festival therefore the traffic condition make worst in the festival even though the traffic is bad here in Nepal. There is no doubt we send you in Tourist Bus, i don't understand your timing mentioned here for tourist bus would be much faster ?? if the traffic condition is worst how they go fast ? Do they fly ?? We could not send you an ambulance therefore you could skip the traffic but more than that there is no way sending in private car or tourist bus.. We confirm you again that was the tourist bus. Search in national park website what animals lives in Chitwan national park. There are tigers also in the national park. Some people see them some people don't as they are not domestic animals. Regarding the elephants in national park, one travel agency can not do nothing from our side, The government should think well to treat better to the wildlife. We only could offer jeep safari instead of elephant safari while people feel pity to use elephant but we need to work according to the customers desire. i see you had excellent guide as you wrote in comment but you did not rate him, it seems your intention toward us. This is an budget trip for 2 nights 3 days package including meals for cheap prices therefore your exception should be according to the budget and trip too. There was nothing we could do better in your case, the traffic caused by festival, and the wildlife care policy should change from government level.
