  It was a great tour which allows to see the highlights of Morocco. Very well organized! I would definitely skip the Hercules Grote (really unnecessary and not worth it), the Roman ruins (especially if you have been to Rome or Greece, it doesn’t add much) and the visit to the Kasbah in the little town next to the Gorge (gorge ok, the Kasbah, nothing new). I would also stay more time in Rabat and less time in Fez. Having said this, the tour was great and the coordination was excellent (really important with this much moving around). Special thanks to the driver Adnan, great person, super kind, very knowledgeable of the surroundings and very, very helpful! A million stars for him!Show more

A special thanks to the excellent driver and guide Mr. Moncef who is very professional in his knowledge of the roads, and very professional and courteous in his behavior.   This tour was organized very well and went very smoothly for the most part. The drivers were excellent, especially Adnan (Rabat to Marrakech), he was with us for several days. The tour company was very responsive and would answer back any questions within a few minutes to a couple of hours. Overall, enjoyable and stress-free tour. The only thing I would say can be improved for next time is to ensure that guides/entrance tickets are arranged at smaller places like Volubilis, Hassan II Mosque tour, and at Ouzad waterfalls. There were a couple of small times where there was no guide (I.e.,Tangier) and we were expected to hire our own guide. Majority of the tour, a guide was provided. As well, there was a real push from guides to eat at restaurants and shop at “co-operatives” that they were likely affiliated with. After a while all the Berber houses / co-operatives start to look the same and they take up a significant amount of time out of the day. Would suggest visiting these only 1-2 times on the tour, not almost daily as was our case. As well, it would be nice to have a detailed summary of the tour ahead of time, including location of hotels and name / phone # of drivers as that would reduce some of the stress. The hotels were really nice with no complaints for the price we paid. Overall, very good tour and would definitely recommend to others.Show more

  My friend and I are seasoned travelers – either solo or with a small group tour. However, I normally went with a well-known global reputable company. Due to time availability, we had to find another tour operator and we found Discover Morocco via TourRadar and based on the reviews, we chose them. Pre-departure: I was used to getting a pre-tour itinerary – complete with the hotel details, meeting time etc. I had to ask for the itinerary to which the reply was to refer to the generic itinerary that is found on the website. Not ideal. Tour type: it is a shared tour. This would be beneficial if it is described clearly in the tour description. If you are looking for a small group tour with a tour leader from beginning to finish and who help you along the way, then this is not for you. Even though the tour description and some reviews mentioned about different tour guides, I did not expect they were literally only guiding for a few hours at the city you were in and sometime not being able to help you with the tour in general. Hotel arrangement: In our first day, we could not check-in as there was a mix up regarding the payment arrangement between the hotel and the tour. Rather than explaining to us whose fault it was, it would be better not to make us wait and allowed us to be checked-in. In Marrakesh, we were put in another hotel (Farah Marrakesh hotel) than the rest of the group. We were told that we were booked in 4-star hotel in the previous city, however, the majority of the tour member also had the 3-star hotel plan like we did. I think this can be managed better without creating any discrepancy in the hotel quality (and pricing). Additional note: based on what I read from previous reviews, hotel Farah Marrakesh was recommended not to be considered as the option. Unfortunately, it is still there and there is nothing good about the hotel (we had another different story of issue with the hotel which it is not worth to mention). Tour arrangement: it is a shared tour. Luckily there are other 2 couples who started the tour with us from the beginning and we figured things together. There was no initial briefing on how the tour worked. We had to call the tour operator almost every day to find out details – which after a few days I just gave up. The mode of communication given to us was via email. To be honest, not everyone checks their emails when they are on holiday. Hence, people do join a tour group. In all city tours, we were also being brought to carpet shops until the last day when we decided as a team that we said No to a carpet shop. In Chechaouen, we had the worst tour guide who yelled at my friend and I when we opted not to get into a carpet shop. Very rude. One guy from our tour actually helped us to calm the tour guide down. However, we had the best tour guide in Rabat (Mohammed). We wished that he was our tour leader. I rarely provided not so positive feedback, however, I do hope this review should be considered as constructive feedback for improvement. In summary, if you are a traveler who likes to have everything organized well and have the same tour leader throughout the tour, this may need be for you. On the positive side, we had great company with the people in the tour and to see the beautiful Morocco.Show more

  The tour was poorly organized. Poor hotel arrangement – In Casablanca: My friend and I could not get into our room because the receptionist said it had not been paid by operator. Only after multiple calls and texts to the operator and waited for 30 minutes, we were finally given a key to the room - not a pleasant experience after traveling across the world for 20 hrs to get to Morocco. In Marrakesh: my friend and I were put in different hotel than the rest of the group. The hotel was worn down, and our room smelled like paint thinner. The receptionist refused to move us to another room because he said the hotel was full. However, another room was magically available after finally hotel staff came to our room to check it. Also, the operator failed to pay the city tax for our hotel. Poor time management: lack of information on daily schedule. We had to ask around the time for pick up the next day in the first few days. There were days when we spent time on the road for more than 10 hrs, and days when we did not have time for lunch until 3pm or dinner until 10pm. Poor guide arrangement: our guide in Chefchaouen and Marrakesh were rude and rushed us throughout the visit – such disappointment because we could not enjoy the visit. The guide in Chefchaouen even yelled at us for not wanting to go to carpet store and asking a question to other people in the group. What made the trip better were the other lovely people in the group, and the beautiful country of Morocco.Show more

We are sorry that you had troubles at the check in but as explained to you on whatsapp it was never our fault since we did pay for the hotel and we have sent you the receipt of the payment . Since the tour is shared and it included 11 passengers we had to keep you updated about the pick up times every day and we could not advise pick up times in advance . In Marrakech we did upgrade your hotel to 4 stars hotel while you had only a 3 stars hotel and the rest of the groupe were put on a different hotel because of availability . Also , the driver did pay for the city tax on the check out . It is already explained on your itenerary for how many hours you will be driving so complaining about that is not fair at all . There were other members on the tour that never complaint about the guides at every city but we are taking your reviw seriously in order to improve the client's experience Regards Issam

  Responding for 4 people who booked together on the Best of Morocco Discovery Tour.. The tour company Discover Morocco was poorly organized and we were not met at the arrival airport in Casablanca. Taking a cab to the Ibis hotel which was the only info provided bu Tour Radar we eventually discovered that it was not the hotel. But not after paying for the cab and 2 hotel rooms. Eventually we got back on track but our instructions for the entire trip we're day to day. Some tips for future tours. Provide advance vouchers for all on tour activities especially the hotels Make clear instruction on pick up including checking arrival times Avoid Casablanca Avoid the 11 hour ride to Fez and the 13 hour trip by road from Fez to Marrakesk We intend to claim our out of pocket expenses for Casablanca cab and hotel John AllistonShow more

  Hello John , Thank you for submitting your review . The driver waited for you at the airport for more than 2 hours but no one showed up . We tried calling all the numbers on your booking but only in vain . Also , we did leave you an email with the hotel's name and we never advised that your hotel will be the Ibis Casablanca . We do not provide hotels voucher for clients as our driver take care of check in to hotels to keep the clients at ease . You can claim the personal expenses but we would like to inform you that as a professional company we take proofs for every matter in order to defend our credebility . There were more people at the tour that never compalaint about hotels and the airport transfer . Regards Issam

  We had a great time, everything was as advertised. However, things did start out a bit slow. Our plane arrived late and the driver who was supposed to pick us up wasn't there. I tried calling the 24 hour emergency number but since it was 3am and "24 hour" doesn't mean what I assumed it meant, no one answered. After a moment of panic I called the hotel and was reassured they had our reservations. Long story short, I went to exchange money to pay for my own cab and by the time I came back the driver showed up. The second half of our trip was much better, our driver/guide, Moncif was very accommodating, professional and pleasant. People like that make trips like this so much better.Show more

  Overall this was a very well organized, positive experience. We certainly discovered Morocco! The drivers were all lovely and looked after us well but especially Yunnis. We were sorry he had to leave us! The accommodation at all places was fine except for La Renaissance in Marrakesh which was a real dump. A dirty, run down hotel with music base thumping from both below and above until about 2 a.m. The food was disgusting, cold fried eggs for breakfast!Show more
