Although the second half of the tour was good, the first 3 days were terrible. I am a frequent traveller and have taken many tours. I am not difficult to please, but I do expect what has been promised. I cannot recommend this tour. During my booking process I arranged for an airport transfer upon arrival in Paris. The day before I arrived the airline changed my flight to arrive earlier on a different flight. I followed all instructions and called the emergency number to inform of my flight change. I spoke to a person who was very helpful, and she put me on hold to call the local agency to confirm the new arrival information. Unfortunately when I arrived in Paris there was nobody waiting for me. I had to call twice from the airport and eventually, over an hour later, someone from Europamundo did arrive at the airport to pick up other people and agreed to take me to my hotel. On the very first morning of the tour we were advised to meet the bus early in the morning so that we could go to the Palace of Versailles. We were aware that Palace entrance tickets were not included, and that we would have to purchase ourselves. BUT, everyone on the bus assumed that we could buy the tickets at the Palace once we arrived. We were all very disappointed when 51 people on the bus arrived and we were not able to purchase tickets at the location! Tickets were sold out for the day, apparently they need to be purchased days/weeks in advance, and they are for a specific time entry. Ex: 9am entry, or 10am entry etc. The guide should have told us when we arrived the day before to purchase our tickets online, and should have advised us the exact time we should arrange for entry. At a bare minimum he should have asked everyone on the bus before we left the hotel so we could have tried again to purchase online from the hotel lobby. We lost half a day of the tour as we could only walk around outside of the Palace. This was VERY poorly communicated, and VERY disappointing as the Palace of Versailles is a key attraction in Paris and a big part of this tour. On the next day we also had a problem with the Eiffel Tower. The guide did not purchase tickets in advance, and when we arrived (extra early in the morning) he told us to stand in the wrong queue, only to learn of the mistake 2 hours later. We eventually got into the Eiffel Tower after 4 hours of standing in the rain! We arrived before any other tours, and before the tower was even open, yet we did not get in to the tower until 11am, and we missed the scheduled time for the boat tour that was scheduled immediately after. We eventually got on a later boat tour, but then we did not have the afternoon at leisure that we had been promised, so that resulted in having to cancel plans to visit other museums that I intended to visit. I only booked this tour so that I could be part of a larger group that would have skip-the-line access to these busy attractions. If I had been travelling without the group I actually could have arrived at the Eiffel Tower and visited in less time! A few days prior to the tour I received an email advising of an optional tour to visit the Louvre but it said that tickets must be purchased in Paris from our guide with cash. Upon arrival I asked the guide and he said he didn't know anything about it, and could not sell me a ticket. He told me to ask the local tour guide the next day. So I followed his instructions, and the local guide advised that he also could not provide me with a ticket. So yet again, I was left without a ticket to visit a key attraction. Tickets to the Louvre need to be purchased well in advance, which I could have done from Canada if I had been told to do so. But sadly I was told to buy it in Paris as an optional excursion from the guide! Lastly, I was very surprised that without any notice I was told that I had to change buses in Geneva to join a different tour that was continuing through a different route in Switzerland. This resulted in me missing the tour of Geneva entirely! I was dropped at a bus station and told to wait for another bus arriving an hour later. So I did not get the tour of Geneva with the bus that I had been traveling on in the prior 3 days. And then when I got on my new bus, they had already done the tour of Geneva, so I did not the tour with them either. I did not get to see anything in Geneva other than the bus station! Thankfully once I joined the new bus in Geneva the tour improved, with better guides and with the itinerary as planned. But the first 3 days were almost a complete loss to me.Show more

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 50 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
