Can you give me some idea of the cost of meals in general or the extra funds I'll need for the days without meals. What are the latitude heights covered every day?

Regarding extra funds needed for meals and general money matters, you can find information at our website. While the cycling distances on this trip are relatively short (with the longest ride being only 50 kilometres), the terrain along the Dalmatian Coast is naturally hilly. Our rides primarily take place on sealed roads, with occasional gravel cycle paths. We strongly recommend bringing a backpack instead of a wheelie bag or suitcase for ease of travel.

My height is 158 cm. Inseam about 71 cm. I usually ride a small men's bike, or the largest for a boy. I would probably be okay on a standard bike. However, I often stop to take photos. Riding an e-bike allows me to catch up.

An e-bike option may be available on this trip. We have limited numbers of these bikes available and they are 'on request' basis only. The pricing can vary depending on the size of e-bike you would need and the departure you select. Please let us know at time of booking if this is something you are interested in purchasing along with your height and our team can price it out for you.

What is the cancellation policy? Can I see names of the possible hotels or accommodations?

Outside of full payment date (30 days before travel) you can cancel with no penalty and we would hold deposit amount for a life time credit. You are able to use this for yourself or transfer to a friend/family member if you so choose. If you are inside full payment we would credit 50% and pay our suppliers 50% if the guest cancels. If it is a covid related issue and we have supporting documentation from a medical facility we can change the credit into 100%. If Intrepid cancels the tour then there is the option to hold credit with us, rebook the same tour, rebook a different tour, or refund.

  How much luggage can we take for the cycle tours? In particular, the Balkan tour, Dubrovnik to Sarajevo?

  On this trip you must pack as lightly as possible. You will be expected to carry your own bag. Although you won't be required to walk long distances with your luggage (max 30 minutes), we strongly recommend keeping the weight under 10kg / 22lb. Most travellers carry their luggage in a backpack. You'll need a smaller day pack/bag to carry water and camera for day trips.

  We are now only planning on the 2nd half of the trip - the Dubrovnik to Sarajevo. We can easily stay under the 10 kilos for our wheelie bags, and we'll have day packs for the bike ride. As long as we are ok with the support vehicle being able to carry our 2 wheeled bags, we should be OK.

  When we decide to book, we may request 1 ebike, and if that isn't available, we'll be OK. My wife is a little concerned about the hills, but I think she can do them, perhaps slowly, and of course you offer the option of riding in the van.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 22nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 22nd, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
