We do currently have single room available for our 22nd August departure.

Approximately how many hours of walking per day and total for the tour?

This is listed as moderate. There are some significant ascent and descent on days like day 4 where we descent for approximatively 1150 metres/3773 feet. The paths are generally well pathed at times rocky. Fit hikers will find the walks a satisfying day out, while less-fit hikers will find them challenging but manageable. This trip is appropriate for seasoned and first-time hikers who enjoy walking, have good level of fitness and balance. It is not suitable for those with recurring hip or knee problems or those unstable on their feet. As the trip is centre based there is the option to decide to have a rest day during the week if you wish. Days 2-6 are approximately 5-6.5 hours of walking a day but broken with stops, etc.

Can you make sure that I am together with my travel companion for accommodations? We booked this tour at different times.

The trip I would like to do is the 10/10 x 17/10. Can I finish the trip a day earlier on the 16/10?

It is not a problem to finish the tour a day earlier on the 16th but please take note of where the tour will be. As you are departing before we drive back to Bilbao airport on the last day, you will be departing from Sotres.

I am wondering what the general average age is on this tour? Also is this tour appropriate for a moderately fit 70+?

For our August 30th 2025 departure, we currently have 4 people booked. Their ages range from 54 - 65. We've graded the walks on this tour as moderate. While you don't need to be a hiking pro to take part, you should have a good level of fitness. See the day-to-day itinerary for walking distances. There are some steep inclines and descents as well as uneven, rocky paths to traverse on this tour. Walks aren't recommended for those with hip or knee issues. Comfortable, supportive walking shoes are a must and walking poles are also recommended. While our itinerary includes walks every day, if you don't feel up to it, you're more than welcome to stay in the village or relax at the hotel.
