It is not a problem to finish the tour a day earlier on the 16th but please take note of where the tour will be. As you are departing before we drive back to Bilbao airport on the last day, you will be departing from Sotres.

I am wondering what the general average age is on this tour? Also is this tour appropriate for a moderately fit 70+?

For our August 30th 2025 departure, we currently have 4 people booked. Their ages range from 54 - 65. We've graded the walks on this tour as moderate. While you don't need to be a hiking pro to take part, you should have a good level of fitness. See the day-to-day itinerary for walking distances. There are some steep inclines and descents as well as uneven, rocky paths to traverse on this tour. Walks aren't recommended for those with hip or knee issues. Comfortable, supportive walking shoes are a must and walking poles are also recommended. While our itinerary includes walks every day, if you don't feel up to it, you're more than welcome to stay in the village or relax at the hotel.

Are there minimum age requirements for the tour?

There are no strict age limits, but participants should be reasonably fit and able to participate in the activities.

We can offer private arrival and departure transfers to from Bilbao (BIO) airport to the start and end point of the tour. The cost is USD$500 per direction.

Do you do any other stops, like Torrelavega or any other cities in Cantabria on the way back to Bilbao Airport?

No on the last day of the tour we just drive straight back to Bilbao Airport - there is no sightseeing included on this day.

Is there a need to confirm my dietary preferences before the trip?

It's advised to inform us about dietary needs ahead of time, so we can cater accordingly.

  My main concern is time. There are not many trains from Bilbao to Madrid out in a day. It takes time to go to the airport.
