    Asked on December 30th, 2024

Could you please tell me, is the terrain hilly? Are there many steep inclines? Do you offer electric bikes, and if so, do they cost more? How close to departure can we book this trip (providing there is still space)?

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • Explore!OperatorWritten December 2024

On this tour we cycle 232 km/144.2 miles over 10 days (an average of 23 km/14.3 miles per day). The route follows mainly level terrain with about 90% on tarmac and 10% on earth/gravel. A support vehicle accompanies the rides on days 3, 5, 8, 12 and 13. Around 75% of the route is on quieter roads and the busiest sections are when we cycle in Hanoi and Hue. You should be comfortable cycling in traffic. We have graded the route as easy. An e-bike can be requested for this trip. The cost is approx. $260 per person subject to availability at time of booking.

When will you close this trip? What date? I need to know the last possible time to book it, if there is space available.

    • Explore!OperatorWritten December 2024

This trip will go on a late booking status approx 40 days before trip departure. Providing there is still space on the deprature. That means we would need full payment on the file to request services with our local agent. Once we have payment on file it takes 2-5 business days to find out if we can confirm the space. We do advise you do not buy flights until we have confirmed the tour.

    Asked on February 26th, 2023

I cycle 3-4days a week distance from 10-30miles each day. But I live on the Thames so my routes are pretty flat, I'm not used to cycling hill's so the prospect of doing hill climes are a bit daunting, is there vehicle support if I find it too difficult? Or do you just wait for everybody who does struggle, I don't want to be the one person everybody waits for, bit embarrassing.

    Transport
    • Explore!OperatorWritten February 2023

On this tour we cycle 232 km over ten days (an average of 23 km per day). The route follows mainly level terrain with about 90% on tarmac and 10% on earth/gravel. A support vehicle accompanies the rides on days 3, 5, 8, 12 and 13. Usually tour leader is looking for a general group pace and keep it going to make sure that everybody is feeling well and comfortable. In general we have graded the route as easy. A support vehicle accompanies the rides throughout the trip wherever possible.
