Could you give me the pros and cons of the Mainland Mystical tour versus the Paradisial Peloponesse tour? Also, how far is the driving distance between sites? We have been to Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini already. We are fascinated by Greek history and would like to explore the country further. Also, we'd like a well-rounded tour with history balanced with food, relaxing scenery, visits to olive oil farm or local wineries.

The Paradisial Peloponnese tour includes more visits to archaeological sites, while the Mystical Mainland tour is for nature lovers. We don't drive for more than 4 hours each day, with frequent stops for coffee or toilet. The itinerary is slow-paced. We have available places between 21-28 of October. We visit a winery in Nemea where you will be offered a tour followed by a wine pairing. Our hotel in Kyparissia is built within olive farms and depending on your arrival time, you might even find people harvesting the olive trees.

What is the activity level of this tour and would there be other people on this tour? (as the max group is 6 people)

We run our tours with a minimum of two participants. The pace level is quite active for this tour.

Here is a rundown of what items you may want to pack: Lightweight clothing that can be layered Long-sleeved shirts Sweaters or fleece jacket Comfortable walking shoes Walking stick advisable Hat or sun visor Electric converters and adapters. In Greece the power sockets are of type C and F. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. Please note that a raincoat will be offered to each participant in case of rain.

What kind of food I will eat on the tour?

Our tours basically focus on authentic local Greek food which is one of the main aspects of the total experience offered. However, in case some of our clients have special food requirements we can provide vegetarian meals. Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have about food, we shall make our best to please you.

Will I be insured on the trip?

All our packages are covered by a Travel Insurance program that includes covers for common situations such as trip cancellation, travel delays or the loss/delay of luggage and/or documents, as well as 24/7 medical assistance providing help in case of any emergency during the trip.

Are the pets allowed on the tour?

The pets are not allowed on the tour.

What's your children policy?

We explored the ancient sites, modern cities, and small towns, giving us a perfect mix of both old and new. George customized the trip to our interests, finding unique, not-often-visited gems for us to see. And, having only the four of us allowed us to stop when we wanted (like stopping along the side of the road to take pictures by enormous sunflowers or in a small taverna to be invited into the kitchen to select from today's specials). The tour was well organized, with plenty of time to see the sites, visit the museums, shop, eat, and just stroll through the villages and cities. The mainland mystery tour offers a unique experience of the mainland ranging from visits to the Acropolis to small monasteries in the mountains.. Given that you’re accompanied by two local guides with extensive experience in all regions of Greece, you quickly understand and experience the culture and history of Greece. One of the guides had a Masters in European history , and was able to make ancient history come alive and become relevant to our current times. The accommodations and meals were excellent. Each hotel offered a different experience from a city hotel near the Acropolis to small mountainous resorts high in the hills. Each request whether it was for type of food, wine or cultural experience was enthusiastically received and fulfilled. After having this tour I feel I have a cultural and historical understanding of Greece that could be obtained no other way. The personalized attention of the tour guides was unsurpassed. We will visit archaeological site of Delos Island, prehistoric site of Akrotiri in Santorini, have a wine pairing, participate in a Greek Wedding theatrical performance, and join a musical presentation of hand-crafted ancient instruments.
