Rocamadour
You'll arrive at Hotel Les Esclargies, a comfortable 3-star place surrounded by parkland just outside Rocamadour's medieval walls. After getting to your air-conditioned room, you can start wandering through this historic town at whatever pace suits you.

- Day 2
Rocamadour to Meyronne
Before leaving Rocamadour, take time to walk the medieval streets and visit the Black Madonna sanctuary. If you're walking or cycling, you'll head toward Meyronne and can stop at Grottes de Lacave along the way. Your accommodation is Hotel La Terrasse, an 11th century chateau that's been converted into a hotel.

Meyronne
This day is yours to shape. Spend time by the hotel pool, explore on foot or by bicycle, or take a taxi to Gouffre de Padirac where you can go down into a massive chasm and take a boat through underground caves. You're staying another night at Hotel La Terrasse.

- Day 4
Meyronne to Souillac
After breakfast, you'll get a canoeing briefing and lesson before paddling down the river at an easy pace. You'll see pink and gold cliffs, watch for buzzards and kites overhead, and spot Belcastel and Chateau de la Treyne rising from the banks. That night you'll stay at La Vieille Auberge in Souillac.

Souillac
Souillac itself is worth a day to explore. Check out the Musee de l'Automate with its collection of mechanical toys, walk to La Durantie for valley views, or cycle to Chateau de Fenelon and Jardins de Cadiot. The itinerary is flexible based on what interests you. You'll have another night at La Vieille Auberge.

Souillac to Saint-Vincent-de-Cosse
You'll paddle gently downriver to Grolejac through the Perigord countryside. There's plenty of time for swimming, having lunch by the water, or just relaxing along the banks. A transfer takes you to Chateau de Monrecour, where you'll stay for two nights.

- Day 7
Saint-Vincent-de-Cosse
Beynac is a medieval village perched on a hillside, and you can climb the steep path lined with old stone houses to reach the 13th century chateau with river views. Alternatively, Jardins de Marqueyssac and Chateau de Castelnaud are about 6km away if you'd rather visit those. Another night at Chateau de Monrecour.

Saint-Vincent-de-Cosse to Sarlat
Walking or cycling through villages and tree-covered paths brings you to Sarlat, a medieval town with Renaissance architecture and ornate details. You'll wander narrow streets, discover old courtyards, and pass through decorated archways. You'll reach the hotel with time for a final swim before dinner.

Your tour finishes after breakfast in Sarlat. You'll depart when it suits you, or arrange transportation to Souillac train station (departures 11:30 Mon-Fri & Sun) or Brive (10:45 Sat) if you need to catch a train.
