Do your tours include the entrance fees because I think seniors get a discount or can go for free. I have one couple that has bought the yearly pass to all the parks. How would that affect the price?

Do you have trips with older capable adults? Which ones? or do you have this trip with more older adults at a particular time?

    • Southwest Adventure ToursOperatorWritten May 2026

Our tours do include the US entrance fees not the international park fees. We operate off of a CUA permit therefore it wouldn't make a difference if they had a park pass. We do not base our tours off of age limit we base them off of activity level. I do have to agree and say 85% of our clients are elderly. The mature clients.

You will depart Las Vegas on the first day from the Doubletree Airport Hotel on Pollock drive @7:00am. You will arrive back in Las Vegas about 7:00pm on Friday Evening. There are clients that stay and there are clients that catch red eye flights headed out about 9:30-10:00pm. If you book a red eye flight make sure its not earlier than 9:30-10:00pm.

    Asked on May 18th, 2026

I was looking at the Mighty 5 tours from both Las Vegas and SLC (where I live). I'm ok with physical exercise, but have a very bad fear of heights - I cannot cope with any sheer drops. (I'm actually ok inside a coach or helicopter). Do you get people like me on these tours, or would it be wasted on me?

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • Southwest Adventure ToursOperatorWritten May 2026

Yes we have clients that have fear of heights and it is not a waste of time for you to take the trip. We would add that to the note for the guide and you would be in great hands.

    • J

      Jose

      TravelerWritten May 2026

Would this be a better trip than the 8 day option starting in SLC (purely from the perspective of my fear of heights) or would you see no difference between them?

    • Southwest Adventure ToursOperatorWritten May 2026

The difference in the two is the 8 day includes the pre & post night hotels. They also include some of the lunches and dinners. You do get to spend more time in the parks on the 8 day. I recommend for activity level checking off lightly active if you do the Mighty 5 Salt Lake City Utah so you will enjoy it. I have a fear of heights as well. I completely understand.

    Asked on April 28th, 2026

Is transport from the airport included when I arrive in Utah?

    Flights / Transfers
    • Southwest Adventure ToursOperatorWritten April 2026

This a 5 day-4 night tour that starts and ends in Las Vegas not Salt Lake City. This tour will start on Monday morning @7am from the DoubleTree Hotel on Pollock Drive. If you book a room through Double Tree the airport shuttle will pick you up. You can book those rooms through us as well but they have to be done through our office only. We can not book them through the third party booking systems. This is a courtesy that we offer.

We do have a mighty 5 Salt Lake City Utah that starts and ends in Salt Lake City Utah this is a 8 day 7 night adventure. This tour does not include the pick ups and drop offs.

  • J

    Josh

    Asked on March 9th, 2026

Will we be able to purchase food for each day during the day or will we need to purchase it the night before at or near the hotel?

    Meals
    • Southwest Adventure ToursOperatorWritten March 2026

For the meals that are not included, we still provide transportation. In most cases, the group eats together, though in some areas, the group may split up to choose from various dining options within walking distance.

  • T

    Tamara

    Asked on February 21st, 2026

how much time and miles are involved in the hiking? Additionally, what is the usual end time for each day's adventure?

    Tour Details
    • Southwest Adventure ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

Clients should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain for an average of 1 to 3 miles at a time. The elevation gain and loss averages between 50 and 300 feet, and both the touring and overnight locations sit between 6,000 and 8,000 feet above sea level. If at any point they do not feel up to a specific hike, they are welcome to enjoy the scenery from a lookout or resting point instead. Our guides will explain alternative options and coordinate meeting times for the group. Regarding our itineraries:
      - Mighty 5 (from Las Vegas): A 5-day tour with a half-day in each national park for hiking and sightseeing.
      - Mighty 5 (from Salt Lake City): An 8-day tour providing a full day in each national park.
On average, the tour concludes each day between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

    Asked on February 20th, 2026

I use a cane to walk. I would like to take the Mighty 5 Tour from Las Vegas. I see there are some stops that you hike. Is it required you do the hike. I am limited to probably being able to walk a mile but I also walk pretty slow. Would I need to take these hikes or if I don't think I can do it can I pass?

    Tour Details
    Travel Support
    • Southwest Adventure ToursOperatorWritten February 2026

The mighty 5 Las Vegas would be a better selection for light hiking. At the time of booking you will need to mark yourself as a lightly active walker or sedentary. There are look out points you can stay back at as well.
