  We were of the view we were on a group tour … but there was no group tour. We did not have a guide to meet us at Tangier as per itinerary. After repeated phone calls and too many hours of waiting, a driver arrived. We were taken to our Fes accommodation via one of the points of interest….Show more

  We cannot recommend this tour enough. We went into it knowing it would be a great experience, but unsure of exactly how everything would work – we were blown away by the excellent coordination, the amazing guides and the incredible places we saw. Our driver Youssef, was absolutely wonderful - he was friendly, attentive (making sure we were comfortable at all times) and kept us informed every step of the way. He also shared bits of information with us as we drove past places, which was amazing. The van he transported us in was spotless and had great air conditioning which he made sure was to our liking - he was very professional and made sure we were able to take breaks to eat or use the restroom. He also coordinated with the guides at each location so incredibly well - we literally never had to wait even 30 seconds to meet our guide or get picked up, which would have been understandable! The coordination was so seamless, we were very very impressed. Youssef really made this adventure that much more enjoyable and we could tell he puts a lot of care into his role - it was very much appreciated and noticed!! He even made sure to stop the car a few times at amazing viewpoints so we could take photos; the views he stopped at were breathtaking. Youssef also had great communication with us and would check in on what time we wanted to get started in the morning, etc - the activities were all planned but we still had a say in certain things, which was so nice as it gave us some flexibility. Our guides, Mjit and Mohammed, were amazing as well - they made sure not to go too fast and shared so much interesting information with us. Mjit was our guide at Volubilis and was so friendly and extremely well-informed; it was an amazing guided tour. He made sure we got beautiful pictures and answered all our questions. The site itself is incredible on its own, but having him as our guide made the experience so much better. Mohammed guided us through Fes and coordinated with Youssef to get us to and from different areas; our favourite part was getting guided by him through the medina, it was simply magical. It’s impossible to describe the amazing things we saw – the ceramics workshop, the tannery, the food and spices, the craftsmanship - you will see the most beautiful artisanal work of your life. Mohammed was also super friendly, answered all our questions and had an amazing knowledge of the city, country, and everything we saw. What made the experience even better was that we were never rushed and could choose what to see. The accommodations were great, we were very comfortable and had good meals and slept very well. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, professional and attentive and clearly had a great relationship with the tour/guides. We felt very well taken care of the entire tour and could not have asked for anything better. This was the experience of a lifetime and we are so grateful to everyone involved – we HIGHLY recommend this tour!!Show more

  Overall our experience was excellent, however when we arrived at the Tangier Med port our driver was not there to greet us. The ferry was very late arriving and we were told by the ferry operator when we booked the tickets there is a one hour time zone change, so we expected to arrive much earlier. We were quite stressed out trying to locate our driver, and once we did, we were happy to meet Muhammad and get on the road. Once we were with Muhammad, we felt we were in good hands. Volubilis was outstanding, and Majit, the tour guide was excellent. Our hotel in Fes was clean and modern and the complimentary meal was fine. Day 2 travelling through Fes with Zachary was like stepping back in time. Zachary is a top-notch guide, very knowledgeable and fluent in English. Day 3 to Chefchouen was also spectacular and Abdul was an adequate guide for that location. All through the 3 days Muhammad went out of his way to find the best spots for photos and to see the best countryside. We absolutely loved Morocco and would recommend this tour!Show more

  We had an absolutely amazing tour from Tangier to Fez & return. Our guide Hicham Essolymany & driver Mohammed Tahiri showed us so much of Morocco sights & life, we cannot speak highly enough of them both as well as Touradar & Moroccan Discovery.   This tour was a lovely introduction to the beauty of Morocco. Our driver Mohammad was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. The vehicle was very good standard for the long journey. Volubolis was a revelation and our guide was so knowledgeable, funny and kind. Incredible scenery and landscapes during the drives. Our guide Hicham in Fez was amazing. It was a full on 10 hours with him on day 2 exploring all that Fez had to offer, he was determined that we would see all that we could in the time. The standard of the hotel was very very good and the staff helpful. The only slight disappointment was the included meals which were average at best, there was no opportunity to pay the cost difference at the hotel between the evening buffet (which did not appeal) and the other menu items. Day 3s visit to Chefchaouan was beautiful as were the Rif mountains, Mohammad did a great job on a walking tour through the town and recommended a great place to eat at lunchtime. All in all a fantastic Tour which I would highly recommend (but please sort out the meals Show more

  I loved the Riad where I stayed everyone there was lovely and really made me feel welcomed and appreciated. I was advised to stay inside after being dropped off from my tours and arrival, im guessing because I was a solo traveling female. I didn’t really get a chance to see Tangier due to traveling time from Fez to Chefchaouen to tangier. I would say this tour is only worth if you’re traveling alone but if you’re with a group there are alternative ways of traveling, I spent all day traveling on the first day and practically the same on my return, I think it had something to do with the fact my driver kept stopping to ask for directions. The driver Mohammad was lovely and I appreciate his service, but drivers should know the way so the ride wont be so long and tedious. Also beware before booking it looks like you’re ferry ticket is included from Tarifa but its not and the ferry’s will be cancelled with out notice or reason which can affect further travel plans. The time I spent in Fez was nice because it was a little less stressful where I could just relax. On the tour you will go to different shops to experience the local life of Morocco, its amazing but you will feel pressure to buy things and you need to haggle, the prices they will quote is extremely expensive because you are a tourist and no local person would ever pay that much. I love the culture of Morocco and someday look to return but with friends and not with a tour.Show more
