Our availability for January'24 is already open and published on our website. For open group 7-day Lemosho expeditions (incl. 2 hotel nights for arrival and departure) you are welcome to join the following expeditions: January 3-11, January 6-14, January 14-22, January 18-26. Please let us know which dates work best for you, we'll be happy to see you on our Kilimanjaro expeditions!

We do not arrange international flights. Please consider reserving a buffer day between arrival and climb start in case of flight delays.

Do you do routes at this time? I can only see for the rest of 2022.

We already have set dates for the group tours in the timeframe you mentioned: June 9 - 17, 2023; June 17 - 25, 2023; July 1 - 9, 2023; July 7 - 15, 2023. Lemosho Route is an excellent choice suitable even for beginning mountaineers. Success rates on 7-day Lemosho are 94-95%.

Lemosho Route is an excellent choice suitable even for beginning mountaineers. It starts with a drop-off by off-road vehicles in the alpine zone at 3,500 m. Two very short treks on Day 1 and Day 2 involve little physical activity. On Lemosho you'll see breathtaking views from Lava Tower, Barranco Camp and Karanga Camp. Success rates on 7-day Lemosho are 94-95%. 7-day group trek via Lemosho route + 2 hotel nights costs 2,670 USD per person

When will you have your schedule for the first few months of 2023?

We have several dates for Lemosho 7-day treks in early 2023: January 1-9, January 7-15, January 21-29, January 26-February 3, February 5-13, February 10-18, February 24-March 4, March 3-11, March 11-19. Lemosho is an excellent route with 94-95% success rates, suitable for beginning mountaineers.

If COVID travel restrictions are implemented, do I get a full refund?

If I flew into Nairobi or Dar Asalam am I able to get a transfer to the first night hotel from these airports?

Albert was our lead guide (Top Notch!) with our greatest cheerleader JoJo and Philomen to make sure we kept the right pace. I have to echo what 847rachaelc says! Especially about the toilet tent! (otherside known as the green machine!) We had the privilege of a birthday celebration, huge cake shared by all, song, dance and celebration! The best was the hot water bunny bottles, for which we gratefully thank Anna for finding new ones for us to take home. An experience of a lifetime!Show more

I got this crazy idea to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in February and I also decided that I wanted my boyfriend to join me. We booked our trip and climbed the mountain in August with Altezza Travel. Our guides Victor and Baraja were absolutely fantastic! We could not have asked for a better team to get our butts to the top of that mountain. They were incredibly accommodating and very educated about the Machame route and the best methods of success. They were also very thorough about checking our health and making sure we were safe for the entire climb. I cannot recommend this team and this travel company enough! Thanks again Victor and Baraja! You guys were the best!Show more

My husband and I felt truly blessed to enjoy the company, expertise, professionalism, services and quality equipment of Albert and his Altezza team on our 7 day Lemosho climb of Mt Kilimanjaro in mid January 2020. Everything was of the highest quality and we miss our supportive team already. If you can ask for Albert by name, we highly recommend his leadership and friendship over what is a deeply satisfying and at times challenging hike. Albert brings confidence, warmth, experience and expertise to the role, and has built a quality and cohesive team around him – from fellow guide Kim, to cook Bacari, camp master Emmanuelle, waiter Sadiq and the whole dedicated crew. The quality of equipment including tents, sleeping matts (the thickest we’ve seen), hot water bottles and the food was outstanding. Thank you Albert and Altezza for making our Kilimanjaro experience a trip of a lifetime. Hint: pay an additional fee for a personal toilet tent - you won't regret it.Show more

Thank you very much for the FANTASTIC Vacation! From the minute we landed in Kilimanjaro and the professional driver, to the AWESOME Safari guide and experience to the super professional hiking guides, we were absolutely blown away! We really really had a great time. The safari experience was so much better than we could have imagined. We saw so many different animals and so close to our vehicle that we got fantastic pictures!!! The guide was awesome in getting us close to all the animals and very friendly and professional. All the accommodations and lodges and staff were very inviting. We really felt welcomed and appreciated during the entire safari trip. The hiking portion was an experience of a life time! Although my wife did experience some altitude sickness, the entire hike was unforgettable. The professionalism of the guides (Rama and Stephen) and the entire crew was unbelievable. They always made us feel as part of the team and were always willing to help in anyway they could. The food during the hike was better than restaurant quality! I don't know how they cook such delicious meals on the side of the mountain, but we were really really impressed with the taste of the food. We successfully made it to summit and because it was so cold, we only spent a few minutes up there. Rama was fantastic and took our camera and really took some great pictures for us at the top. My hands were too cold to operate the camera, so we are really thankful of the pictures he took for us! My wife experienced some more severe altitude sickness after summit and with safety being the number one concern from the guides, they made the call to bring in a helicopter to get us off the mountain and my wife to the Kilimanjaro Search and Rescue clinic. The clinic did a fantastic job helping my wife and getting her feeling better. As we left the clinic, Altezza did a great job getting us a driver back to the hotel and securing the hotel room for the unexpected night. The entire trip was absolutely amazing and we are really glad we picked Altezza for our vacation. From all the help from Stasia planning the trip and answering our questions to all the staff at the hotels/lodges/safari/hiking crew/drivers it was a vacation of a lifetime! We would gladly take more vacations with Altezza and highly recommend them to any of our family or friends looking to travel to Africa.Show more

We were a group of four and had the most amazing time with Altezza on this once in a lifetime journey! From day 1 we were well looked after by Joseph, Abraham and our wonderful 15 porters. Our guides Joseph and Abraham were very patient with us (who aren't very fit or fast hikers) and always made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and fit to keep going to the summit. There was always hot food and water to wash our faces and hands and our tents would always be set-up and ready for us as we reached each camp site. The crew made many special efforts (which i won't give away on this post!) to make each day of our Kili journey that extra memorable and comfortable. It was definitely a Christmas to remember!!! We also learnt about Tanzania and our surroundings from Joseph and Abraham who were filled with so much local knowledge. Would recommend these guys to everyone! Thanks Joseph, Abraham, and crew for an unforgettable experience!!!Show more

Safety was the primary concern with comfort a close second. Luxurious seems an odd word given the environment, but not far off. Rentals were first rate quality.
