    Would you like to know which airport to fly into and out of? The tour is fully guided from start to end.
    
    It is mandatory for all of our travellers to have Emergency Medical Travel Insurance that will cover the dates of the tour. This emergency evacuation benefit, and includes repatriation to your home country. The medical expenses, evacuation and repatriation benefits must, when combined together, cover for at least 200,000.00 USD per traveller. We highly recommend upgrading to an all-inclusive policy that includes cancellation and interruption to protect your investment in the event of your travels not going to plan.

  Just wondering how strict the age limit of 39 is-- I'm turning 43 on January 3rd, but the others in the group are in their 30s and 20s. Thanks!

    The age restrictions on these tours are strict as these tours are catered for travelers between the ages of 18-39. In this scenario it might be best to look into our classic tours.

  Would it be possible to stay with the 3 other people I am planning the trip with? I see the hostels are 4-6 people and was just wondering if we could be together at the hostels?

    Yes if you are booking with other travellers you will be allocated a room together, if you book separately we can still request that you room together but we would need written confirmation from all travellers that they are happy to do so. The accommodation breakdown is as follows; Hostels (4 nts, multi-share & shared facilities), traditional inn (1 nt, multi share room and shared facilities).

    When selecting nationality for the other people and they have 2 passports should I select the nationality that the passport is associated with or does it not matter? Example: lives in South Africa, has South African passport and British passport. Wants to use British passport for travel ease. Should I fill in British as nationality or South African?

    The passport selected needs to be the passport the traveller is travelling with for the tour. It is very important as we book all services for the tour with this information, so the passport on file needs to match the passport you are travelling with.

  I am 40 years old and will only be in Japan during these dates. I hope you can give an exception since it is just 1 year older than the requirement.

    Unfortunately there are no exception for the age requirements on this tour, you must be no older than 39 years of age on Day 1 of the tour. We require passports to confirm your eligibility so you would need to look at alternative tours.

    This tour is a part of our 18-30somethings travel style, which is only available for travellers between the ages of 18 - 39 to book onto. Our other travel styles, such as Classic, Active, National Geographic Journeys, etc., do not have any age restrictions.

    This is a pre-set itinerary that includes hotel reservations. This does not include accommodation at the Penisula hotel and Four Seasons Hotel in Tokyo. We also do not offer the option to change the accommodation for the aforementioned.

  I liked your 'Japan: Tokyo Nights & Kyoto Temples - 6 days' tour plan. I would like to do that with my family (4 adults) 11 January 17 January 2025. Is it possible to change the accommodation for us? Hostels are not good for us, can you arrange just basic standard hotel rooms with private bathrooms please?

    Unfortunately, we cannot change the hostels as this is what makes up the itinerary and the package price for the tour. We can, however, suggest you look at our other styled tours to Japan where our accommodation is hotels.
