  Tour director of 19 years/guide/driver/coach/and destinations were excellent. Would recommend Trafalgar to anyone wanting to do Switzerland. 44 passengers on board however very well organised with radio com's were required, continuous commentary in coach to point out history and points of interest. All 46 including the director and driver had a great time. That in itself must count for something. Thanks Trafalgar ❤️Show more

From the moment we started our journey to our farewell, every aspect of the trip exceeded our expectations. This extraordinary journey took us to the picturesque towns of Montreux, Leukerbad, St. Moritz, Bareno Italy, and Lucerne, with a highlight being the majestic Matterhorn. First and foremost, we owe our unforgettable experience to our tour director, Ellen, and our skillful driver, Mario. They were the dynamic duo that ensured our comfort, safety, and entertainment throughout the entire adventure. Ellen's extensive knowledge and passion for Switzerland were evident in every narrative she shared, immersing us in the rich history, culture, and beauty of each destination. She was always approachable, going above and beyond to answer our questions and provide insightful recommendations. Mario's exceptional driving skills were truly commendable. We felt completely at ease as he expertly navigated the scenic routes, allowing us to relax and fully indulge in the breathtaking landscapes. His warm and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of joy to our journey, making us feel like cherished guests rather than mere passengers. The itinerary was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing a diverse selection of Switzerland's gems. Montreux's idyllic lakeside setting and its legendary Chillon Castle left us in awe. Leukerbad, with its breathtaking alpine views, provided the perfect opportunity to rejuvenate both body and mind. The glitz and glamour of St. Moritz dazzled us, and we couldn't resist exploring its luxurious boutiques and world-class ski slopes. A delightful surprise awaited us in Bareno Italy, a hidden gem nestled within the captivating Swiss-Italian Alps. The quaint village charmed us with its narrow cobblestone streets, vibrant houses, and delicious culinary delights.   Wasn’t sure I would like a bus tour but our tour guide did an excellent job of keeping everything running smoothly. I felt stopping in Bern to see the bears did not give us a very good over view of Bern. We could have skipped that stop. The included meals were only so so. The optional tours were excellent. Did get to see a lot of Switzerland and experience all forms of transportation.Show more

  Switzerland was an amazing country but we thought we booked a tour. We were basically dropped at a destination and left to do our own thing. No guided tours of any of the places we visited just a few things mentioned in the bus then you were on your own. Optional lake cruise in Montreux went for about 15 mins then we were off to find the bus to Chaplin house then back to hotel on bus. Not a cruise a transit!!! We were given up to an hour to orientate ourselves and find our way back to the bus. Someone asked if he could recommend a place to eat in Montreux and the reply was, did you come on this tour to save money or enjoy yourself. I asked if we could stay longer on the Barromean island and was told if you can swim you can stay as long as you want. Asked the best place to change currency.. at the train station or use an atm. It was pretty much a bus ride of Switzerland not what we all expected from Trafalgar. If you didn't do the optional tours some days you were basically on your own with nothing planned. Hotel rooms were once again hit and miss eg lake views, amenities etc. unless you constantly complained like one couple who were always upgraded to a much better room. No use asking the tour director to assist. Great bus ride around a beautiful country.Show more
