I am 82 and walk with a cane so cannot walk long distance or uneven surfaces- is it possible to pay for bearers

At Oasis Overland, we still do overlanding the old school way. All our trips in Africa are camping trips and also fully participatory trips. The expenditions trucks are also higher than a coach bus and some of our vehicles have steep steps with ropes to get up and back down from the truck. Therefore, if you are can't walk long distances and currently use walking aids, we don't think this trip will be suitable or enjoyable.

Gorilla and chimp trek permits can only be secured once you have booked and pain as they only issue them to individual passport numbers so we can arrange that for you as soon as your booking with us is confirmed. How much is in total this tour with the gorila trek per person?

The price depends on which departure date you are looking at. As a guideline the current Gorilla permit price is £750 per person and the trip starts from £1030 per person plus a local payment amount of $590 due to the tour leader at the start of the trip.

I was wondering if there is electricity in the areas we are camping...I have a CPAP.

This section of the trip is 100% camping though we do have charging facilities on the truck for your cpap machine, that's not a problem. You will just need to let us know about bringing that on the trip so we can note it on our end as we do take everyone's medical conditions seriously. We would also recommend bringing a travel battery that will hold charge for most of the nights and a power bank. On some days you may do wild camping which means there might not be electricity for several days and the truck charging portals may not be used during these times since the truck will not be moving but this will not be for more than 3 days.

How much does it cost to track gorillas?

The trekking is an additional £710.00 and US$40 for the transport on top of the trip price and local payment price.

On our trips to Rwanda & Uganda, the opportunity of being up close and personal with a family of highland Mountain Gorillas, has to be classed as one of the most amazing wildlife encounters in Africa. Full payment is required at the time of booking and is subject to availability. Once requested your permits cannot be refunded or exchanged.
