  This review reflects my personal experience on this tour. The trip did not align with how it was presented at the time of booking. Accommodations were very basic hostels with shared bathrooms, no refrigerator, and no drinking water provided. This level of lodging was not clearly communicated in advance and felt inconsistent with what was advertised. There was no private transportation between cities or activities. Most days involved extensive walking—often close to 8–9 hours—which made the itinerary physically exhausting and reduced the enjoyment of the destinations. Several guided activities were poorly organized. On multiple occasions, guides arrived 30–40 minutes late, citing long commutes via public transportation. These delays significantly reduced the time available at attractions. When we raised concerns during the trip about accommodations and scheduling, communication from the operator was slow and inconsistent. After expressing dissatisfaction through their social media channel, we were blocked, which eliminated a direct way to communicate our concerns while still on the tour. Overall, this experience lacked the organization, transparency, and professionalism I expect from a guided tour. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this tour to travelers looking for clear communication, reliable logistics, or accommodations that match what is advertised.Show more

  This review is completely false and contains inaccurate information! Accommodations: The list of hostels was sent to the client by email weeks in advance prior to the tour. He had enough time to revise the info and raise any concerns he might have had including the possibility to upgrade. Nothing was done from his side! We would like to clarify that the hostels used are part of important hostel chains in Italy which offer high standards for budget accommodations. If you are not an hostel person, online you also have the option to book a different type of accommodation. Transportation: The tour is conducted by fast speed train between cities and all train tickets were provided and included in the tour package! Walking: All the cities which are pedestrians can be easily visited by foot and all the orientation walks included in the itinerary had the of length of 3 hours. Rome, which is a bigger city with more things to visit, have a length of 4h max with multiple stops for photos. Guides: We have no record whatsoever in 20 years of activity about guides being late 40 minutes which is absurd. This can be proved anyway with our daily log. Social Media: We have a dedicated team for all our guests during the tour which can be contacted to the dedicated whatsapp number, phone and email provided to the clients. The social media managers are not in charge or informed about the operation of a tour. Even though this client was informed, he continued using the wrong channel to have answers. Overall Experience: Regarding us we are sorry if his expectations where different but the whole team supported him for the entire week with absurd complaints by also offering free of charge non due upgrades which obviously have not been appreciated.

  From start to finish, our honeymoon with Italy on a Budget was absolutely phenomenal. The entire experience was seamless the tours were incredibly well organized, and the hotels arranged for us were nothing short of amazing. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our trip stress-free and unforgettable. Their app made everything so easy to navigate and understand, and we loved how the additional add-on tours were both interesting and reasonably priced. The partner companies they work with for excursions were, for the most part, excellent. The one small issue we had with an outside tour company was resolved immediately by Anastasia, who truly went above and beyond for us. She stayed much later than expected to ensure our first day in Italy and the first day of our honeymoon was absolutely perfect. That level of personal care and dedication meant the world to us. We can’t recommend Italy on a Budget (and Anastasia in particular!) highly enough. They turned our dream honeymoon into a reality, and we’re already looking forward to traveling with them again.Show more

  Such an amazing tour! I had a great time exploring Rome, Florence and Venice. A special shout-out to our brilliant tour guides Anna and Elisa. Their local knowledge really enhanced the tour and I was always given great recommendations for things to do and food to try whether it was pasta, pizza, Italian bread or gelato (I ate a lot of gelato!) They were also so friendly and supportive and it was great to get to know them. Highlights of the tour included trying Carbonara in a Trattoria as part of our welcome dinner in Rome, exploring great architecture like the Colesseum and the Vatican and the day trip to Tuscany where we tried various different wines which felt like a proper Italian experience. But the best part was meeting so many great people throughout the tour from all around the world! Thank you Italy on a Budget tours! If you're exploring Italy, this group trip is definitely a great way to go and excellent value too!Show more

  I did the 7 day tour of Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre and Venice. The original tour date I selected I was unable to participate in as there was no one else that had signed up for the date so I changed my tour to a week earlier. The communication from the staff was great before the trip, I just wished there was a more detailed itinerary given to us (ex. time or a tour or sights we would see). Since I had switched my dates I was hoping to meet lots of amazing people on the trip. It ended up being only myself and one other person (other than for the Cinque terre day trip) who was not interested in meeting anyone or going anything outside of the tour itself. When it came to meeting people it was way easier to meet people in the hostels you stay in. If you are hoping to meet people and make friends I would suggest just booking the hostels yourself and skipping the tour. The hostels that were booked for us were amazing! Nicest hostels I have stayed in my far! And it was nice that you did not have to worry about anything for the week as it was all organized for you. The tour guides were amazing! For the first half of the trip (Rome and Florence tours) I had Ned. He was so knowledgeable and genuinely wanted us to have the best time on the tours. I had such a fun few days with him and he even helped negotiate the price of a purse for me at the leather market in Florence! For the next half of the tour we had Marie. Marie was with us for the Cinque Terre day trip and for Venice. She was very kind and made sure to keep us safe as we were in many train stations (where pickpockets like to be). Both guides made sure to take lots of pictures!! Overall the tour was a good experience as you do not have to worry about planning anything out. If you have a few people you would like to spend time with it is a good option but if you are looking to meet other travellers I would recommend just booking the train tickets and hostels on your own.Show more
