  Overall it was good! Accommodations and bus tickets were fine. Good location and clean. There were just some miscommunication between Mexican providers and Bamba travel, it's better to write their numbers on WhatsApp and communicate before your trip just to confirm everything! I missed Chichen Itza trip bc of that. Otherwise all was good and I enjoyed my trip.Show more

  Bamba is a terrible,terrible agency. They do not communicate well, lie about everything. Every place they booked me in had a problem. They had virtual check-in in one place- when I dont know anything about tech. They didnt tell me until AFTER I PAID-non refundable I was on a tour on my own. The first night I couldnt sleep at all-crummy place LOUD DISCO ALL NIGHT. Third night virtual check in- almost didnt get in my own hotel or room. All they promised was a line. The third place I stayed in they made me play a huge deposit- it was also noisy at night. Wouldnt let you take towels out. Wanted to charge me for an extra cup of hot water. They said there were five breakfasts and gave me none. They booked a tour and it was cancelled. DO NOT BOOK WITH BAMBA IN MEXICO. You will be sorryShow more

  Absolutely fantastic. Our contact at Bamba Experiences was so responsive and helped us in a number of tight spots. On one morning, our tour guide for Chichen Itza never showed up. Bamba immediately called them and worked out another tour day for us. We were blown away. Other than that, the lodgings were very comfortable. Nicer locations were slightly further away from the city centre, however, so I would suggest giving people 2 options for lodgings (and then they can prioritize convenience over ambiance, if they wish). Also, finding an English-speaking clerk at the bus stations (to print our tickets) was a little daunting, so perhaps offering us the chance to pre-print bus tickets before our vacation would be more useful. Other than that, it was great and very well-priced. I will 100% be booking another trip with Bamba again.Show more

  Cannot fault Bamba Experience. This was my first time solo travelling, and they made it so easy. There is a downloadable itinerary with a chat option if you come across any problems. I had a couple of queries along the way, which Bamba quickly sorted. The hostels were brilliant, and all very close to the bus stations, making it easy to get from one place to another. My only small gripe is that the one in Tulum had no AC. I am from Scotland, and found this very difficult! The included Chichen Itza trip was the highlight, and the tour guide Frank was fantastic. I thoroughly recommend this trip, and would be happy to book with Bamba again in the future.Show more

  I hate to say that you get what you pay for, but... no one picked me up at the airport, so I waited for almost 2...
  I hate to say that you get what you pay for, but... no one picked me up at the airport, so I waited for almost 2 hours. When I called the “emergency number”, I was told they had no record of my reservation with the trip- even though I was holding my confirmation papers. Was told to look up some other number, even though I informed the guy that I didn’t have data as there was as no wifi at the airport. Eventually a security guard got me to my hostel. Going to Chitzen itza- the bus was supposed to arrive at 5:15am but showed up instead at 6:30. Glad I woke up early. Phoned all the emergency numbers, as I assumed my reservation was messed up again- no answer. Sent an email to the “urgent” email address, and received a reply that the office doesn’t open until 9am. Useful. They had asked if there were any special diet restrictions for the boxed lunch- I said I was vegan, but could handle a vegetarian meal. Was given a ham and cheese sandwich. Points for trying? When I arrived at the hostel in Playa del Carmen, I was informed that they hadn’t paid for my reservation. When I tried to call the number, it was out of service. Goodbye to $285 Mex pesos. Overall, it was nice to have someone else plan the schedule and accommodations. But the above issues were frustrating, and it felt like I was just waiting for the next mess up.Show more

  Transport in Cancun for Chichenitza - driver was late 20-25mins Then were held up another 15mins as driver collecting other passangers had a problem with the couple on board as there was some mixup. >Following that we had to make an extra pit stop and waited extra 15mins for another customer that had to drop off his bag We made up for the time once transported onto a larger bus. Marco the Amigos Tour guide was good. Spoke well and gave good speeches The following day I travelled to Tulum for my 3rd day. However upon arrivng at Hostal Nativos, they did not have my reservation. With no phone or computer, I walked to computer cafe to email Bamba. They told me, it was sorted and everything paid. Once returned, they confirmed my reservation, however charged 370peso for 2 nights stay.As the reseptionist girl had confirmed the Hostal does not recieve payment.. Strange. Anyhow I paid, as i was tired and need to shower and check in. I was not given the bus ticket in advance Leaving Playa del Carmen - Cancun, So I had to pay myself 40peso. Which isnt a big deal. But still. I hope you take the time to read this and make sure it doesnt happen to other travellers looking for a good. Thank you!!Show more

  The guided tour to Chichen Itza was very good. Our accomodations got a bit messed up on 2 of the three hostels. We reserved private rooms at all the hostels and only one hostel had a private room for us. Bamba eventually cleared up the problem and provided me with a refund. Show more
