    Asked on January 6th, 2026

Can you please advise what the difficulty level is for the "Path of the Gods" hiking tour (Day 2) and hike up to its summit in MT.VESUVIUS (Day 3)? Please advise the difficulty level for any other hikes that are in the itinerary.

I found that land at Naples International Airport around 12:30-1:00 pm. What time does the airport transfer start? It says 6 pm on the tour group. I was wondering if someone could come pick me up when I land earlier in the day?

    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten January 2026

Yes the transfer with the group is fixed at 06h00 pm and normally you should wait at the airport, unless you are the only participant on the tour (in that case we can arrange the transfer only for you) or in case all the other passengers arrive earlier than 06h00 pm we can anticipate the pick up time. Otherwise, we can arrange a private transfer for you only at anytime with an extra cost of Eur 160.

Do you know if we need to apply for a tourist travel visa to go to Italy? There has been talk about it, but nothing has been officially implemented for US travelers. I want to make sure that if I do need to apply for one, it will be processed before the trip.

    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten January 2026

At the moment the official information says that for a Us citizen is enough a passport valid for at least six months beyond the planned departure date. A visa is not required for stays of up to 90 days. So you do not need to apply for a tourist travel Visa for the moment. I suggest checking the information again in a few months in case there are any changes/updates in this regard.

In previous tours, how many people are usually in this tour group?

    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten January 2026

It's a fairly recent tour that we launched last year and for each date we've never had more than 4/5 participants (the maximum is 16 participants).

    • L

      Leslie

      TravelerWritten January 2026

I wanted to understand what would happen if no additional bookings are made. Is there a minimum number required for the tour to proceed, and when would a cancellation decision be made if that's the case?

    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten January 2026

Normally the tour is guaranteed even with 1 participant, unless you decide to change or cancel the tour.

    Tour Details
    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten December 2025

Unfortunately it is not possible to change the dates for this tour as it is a group tour with guaranteed fixed dates. I can suggest you some similar private tours with daily departure always guaranteed.

      TravelerWritten December 2025

I'd like to make sure that the rooms have their own private bathrooms? When I think of 'campus' I imagine a university residence with shared bathrooms downs the hall.

    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten December 2025

yes the rooms have their own private bathrooms, the campus is a fully-fledged hotel. So do not worry about the comfort of the room.

do you also pick up people from the train station? I am interested in August tour

    Tour Details
    Transport
    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten August 2025

unfortunately this is tour is no longer available for August. The only dates available are 20th of September and 4th of October. The first date will be available for few days only so in case you need to book soon to secure your place. Of course we can arrange the pick up from the train station but we need to apply a supplement cause the rest of the group will be collected from the airport. The cost for a private transfer with driver from Naples train station to the Campus Principe di Napoli in Agerola is Eur 160,00.

    Tamara

    Asked on March 14th, 2025

Is it possible to be picked up from the Naples train station instead of the airport?

    Flights / Transfers
    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten March 2025

Yes, we can pick you up at the station with an extra cost of Eur 130.

    • T

      Tamara

      TravelerWritten March 2025

Is this cost for pick up only or also for drop off at train station? Is it for 1 person or 2?

    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten March 2025

The cost is for a private car per way, so it is ok for 2 persons. If you need to be dropped off at the train station also at the end of the tour you need to add Eur 130. In total will be Eur 260 for roundtrip.

    Asked on November 22nd, 2024

How many miles/hours of walking every day? A lot of up & down hills? Having concern on non-stop everyday walking. Is this walking tour OK for people in early 70's?

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • TUI ItaliaOperatorWritten November 2024

it will be more or less 3/4hours walking every day but with breaks and stops. It is a medium physicals difficulty level. There are up and hills especially during the Path of Gods, the Vesuvius and Capri tours. In any case it is not recommended to persons with mobility problems. It is ok for people in early 70's but of course mostly it will depend on physical conditions. In any case i can suggest you also more relaxing tours if you are not convinced to this tour.
