G Adventures scheduled your departure based on the government's original timeline but that timeline changed shortly before your departure date. The last minute change did not allow enough time for our passengers to adjust their arrival plans and as a result, impacted your departure. Please know that I hear you and our local operations and product teams will use this information to better prepare for unexpected situations of this nature moving forward.

  First of all, I want to emphasize that our CEO was WONDERFUL!!!! She was friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, and made everyone feel safe. However, I do have some MAJOR complaints regarding the actual company, G Tours. I feel that G Tours cut WAY TOO MANY corners on this trip. The hotel was not that great. It costs $50 per night average, and we were sharing the room. So my question is, where did my money go to? Breakfast was horrendous and extremely limited and for any additional item, we were charged for. What was the point of paying so much money if we couldn't even get a decent breakfast? The other thing was the cancelation of specific tours, which given the current circumstances, I understand. However, why weren't those canceled tours replaced with other available tours? Instead, we ended up PAYING for additional tours that could have been compensated for with with money that was taken for the canceled tours. Another corner that was cut was the actual location of the hotel. The whole point of this trip was to celebrate and experience the Day of the Dead. The hotel location was extremely far from where everything was happening. The group essentially missed out on so much of what we could have experienced if we were staying in the Centro Histórico. Not to mention, it wasn't walking distance and cabs were beyond expensive because of traffic. I honestly feel as if this company pocketed most of my money and less than half ass every single "tour" or attraction we did, as most were free and non paid. I'm appalled by G Tours. You've left a bad taste on my mouth. This is the first and they very last time I will ever book anything either this company.Show more
