  I am know as "Gramps". I have 2 daughters, 2 son-in-law and 6 grandchildren. We all live in California. This year I let my grandkids pick the destination of this years "Family Vacation" and it was decided to do an e-bike trip to Croatia. I had no idea of what to expect and it could not have been better. Our two guides, Meio and Mario were the best. Great cyclists and very informative about the history of Croatia. Croatia is very beautiful with lots of history. You don't have be even a good cyclist to have a great experience. I am 78 years old and had not ridden a bike for about 60 years and I would not consider anyone in my family to have a lot of bike experience but they are all very athletic.Show more

  After a lot of online research, my wife and I narrowed our choice of a cycling tour company to the three Croatian companies that offered guided and self guided land-based tours. We had decided against taking the cycling tour companies that use boats to get around the cost of Dalmatia because they seemed to have too many people cramped onto a boat with small accommodations. We chose Meridien Ten and their Dalmatian Coast Classic 6 day tour. Although a total of 4 guests did not sign up for the April 27th Dalmatian Classic Guided Tour, Meridien Ten offered to conduct the guided tour anyway, but without the support van, which was fine with us. They still transported our luggage to the next hotel and provided transportation support as needed. We found Meridien to be excellent in their communication and they really seemed to care about providing first class service. The price was fair, the accommodations were good and well located, the dinners and lunches were excellent, and the quality of the bicycles was very good. Our guide, Mario, is the best guide we have had during our multiple cycling trips in different parts of the world. He lives in Split and knows the Dalmatian coast as only a resident would. Everywhere we rode, he knew people we saw. Consequently, we learned a lot about the history of the area and its people and culture. He went above and beyond to find out what we liked and made multiple changes to our itinerary after consulting with us and suggesting routes, food, and activities that he thought we might appreciate more than what was in the original itinerary. For example, as we like seafood, Mario arranged for a private lunch at a restaurant owned by a family that fished in the morning and served what they caught at their restaurant in the evening. The food was outstanding. Mario went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our trip. And Meridien Ten gave Mario the flexibility to make itinerary changes to enhance our experience. In addition to this personalized experience, we cycled on three of the beautiful Croatian Islands between Split and Dubrovnik. The coastal scenery was amazing. We truly enjoyed our guided cycling tour with Meriden Ten.Show more

We had never taken a tour before, and certainly not a bike tour, and were a bit nervous going in that it would be too restrictive, or that we wouldn't like the structure. None of that happened. Our 23 and 24 year old kids had a fantastic time, enjoying our fellow riders, the food, the cycling, the scenery, the hotels, and the many, many laughs we all had. I cannot say enough about the Meridien10 guides, Mijo and Toni. Because of their attention to literally every detail, we were able to relax and thoroughly enjoy the vacation. Meals are pre-ordered and served family style, no decisions necessary. Don't like one dish? Don't worry, there are 4-5 more coming (an ongoing topic of conversation among the group: let's see if we can finish THIS meal!) The well-selected restaurants and hotels did not disappoint. The bikes were terrific, and if you felt you couldn't do a climb, no problem, they pop your bike on top of the always-present van, and you skip that one. No drama, no issues. Want to skip the climb and enjoy one of the breath-takingly beautiful and exciting descents? Done! However, Mijo was extremely good at sizing up the capabilities of the group, and knew when to push and when to suggest a break, and he was always right. I cannot say enough about this trip and this great locally-owned company. Top notch.Show more

  I went on my first tour with M10 about 3 years ago now and since that time I've been back to Split to visit and ride with them more times than I can remember. I think at this point I've ridden with nearly every guide there! The first tour I took was the Classic and it was phenomenal. Everything from the guides, the food, the accommodation and of course the ride exceeded my expectations. Croatia is an amazing country full of wonderful people and beautiful places and booking a tour with M10 is by far the best introduction to all that it has to offer. Show more

  We were a small group of friends (6) with me being the weakest cycler. Meridien Ten provided first rate bicycles and clear daily maps and directions. I felt supported and confident that I could do it all. Off the bikes we were guided to excellent, well placed small hotels and restaurants. Transfers were efficient and always timely. I heartily recommend Meridien Ten and thank them for a great trip on the coast of Croatia.Show more

  My love affair with Meridien Ten started nearly 3 years ago, when I was lucky enough to join the Dalmatian Coast Classic tour that's featured in the video. The level of professionalism was unparalleled. Everything was extremely well organised, with high quality equipment and the most exceptionally accommodating guides. They worked tirelessly to ensure that all levels of physical skills and personal tastes were always satisfied; above and beyond. All guests had to worry about was enjoying the phenomenal scenery and absorbing the local life on the daily rides. Meridien Ten was pitched at right price for the level of comfort and quality we wanted. While not looking for strictly budget travel (Exodus, Explore), we also couldn't quite stomach the cost of Backroads. We felt like we got great value for money, and enjoyed the highest levels of service throughout. Since that first trip, I've taken a number of custom tours with the company, and they never disappoint. See Croatia with Meridien Ten, and you won't regret it. Show more
