7 Days in Croatia, incl. Zagreb and Dubrovnik
The route encompasses 5 key destinations: Zagreb's urban culture, Plitvice Lakes' natural wonders, Split's Roman heritage, Hvar's island beauty, and Dubrovnik's historic charm, featuring guided walks, national park visits, and vibrant nightlife.

- Day 1
Zagreb
Begin your Croatian adventure in Zagreb. You can easily walk around the city center. Spend your afternoon walking through Upper Town's cobblestone streets and visiting St. Mark's Church with its unique tiled roof. A recent visitor shared: "Zagreb's cathedral area comes alive in the evening when locals gather at the surrounding cafes - it's a perfect spot for people-watching and getting your first taste of Croatian coffee culture."

- Day 2
Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes
Take the early bus to Plitvice Lakes National Park (4 hours). Book park tickets online to skip summer lines. You'll arrive with plenty of time to explore the wooden walkways connecting the lakes. A visitor suggests: "Start from the upper lakes - they're less crowded in the afternoon, and the lighting is perfect for photos. Wear proper walking shoes as the boardwalks can get slippery."

- Day 3
Plitvice Lakes to Split
Complete any remaining Plitvice trails in the morning before catching the 5-hour bus to Split. Choose a seat on the right side for beautiful Adriatic views along the coastal road. Once in Split, walk through Diocletian's Palace in the evening when crowds thin out and the lighting creates a special atmosphere.

- Days 4-5
Split & Hvar Island
Stay in Split but take a day trip to Hvar Island by ferry (1 hour). Visit Diocletian's Palace early before cruise ships arrive. While on Hvar, walk up to the fortress for incredible views. A helpful tip from a traveler: "The boat hopping tour from Hvar to the Pakleni Islands was the highlight - book through the tourist office near the harbor for the best rates, around $80."

- Days 6-7
Split to Dubrovnik
Take the morning bus to Dubrovnik (4 hours). Visit the city walls in late afternoon when crowds decrease. Walking the walls takes about 2 hours. Remember to bring water since there's minimal shade. Use your final morning to explore Old Town's quiet streets. One visitor recommends: "Skip the overpriced cable car and instead walk up to Park Orsula for similar views and a fraction of the tourists."

7 Days in Croatia, incl. Dubrovnik and Zagreb
Your Croatian adventure covers essential highlights: 2 nights in UNESCO-listed Dubrovnik, Split's Diocletian's Palace, Sibenik's old town, and Plitvice Lakes' waterfalls. Includes 6 nights in 3-star hotels and local expert guidance.

- Days 1-2
Dubrovnik
Begin in Dubrovnik's UNESCO-listed Old Town. One traveler said: "I don't think I had taken as many pictures in a day - it's an amazing place." Get to the city walls before 8:30 AM to avoid tour groups. Walk the Stradun, visit the Franciscan Monastery, and ride the cable car to Mount Srdj for sunset. Smart move: Stay in Lapad or Gruz instead of Old Town. You'll find better deals and easier parking.

- Day 3
Split
Drive 4 hours along the coast to Split, using the new Pelješac Bridge. Leave Dubrovnik early to skip morning traffic. Once in Split, check out Diocletian's Palace with its underground halls and the oldest cathedral in the world. In the evening, join locals on the Riva waterfront for dinner and great people-watching.

What people love about 7-day Croatia tours
- Zagreb to Dubrovnik: Parties & Plitvice Lakes
Claudia was an amazing guide! Couldn’t have asked for anyone better. The trip was super fun, great group, and we did so much in the amount of time we had. Would absolutely go again!!
- Best of Croatia - 7 Days Dubrovnik to Zagreb
The one mornig tour of Zadar led by Robertina was excellent. Very personable, knowledgable guide. Made the extra effort to have the Convent in town open to us to view ancient relics on display. She gave us many insights to Croatia's culture and history, both ancient and recent ( 1990's). She was very clearly and genuinely proud of her heritage and that made an impact on all participants. .
- MedSailors Dubrovnik Voyager
We had a really great sailing experience with MedSailors. We were a couple and there were 7 others on board. MedSailors grouped us with the perfect bunch of people. We had so much fun together swimming, going to restaurants, partying and also spending a lot of time relaxing on deck or off the boat.
