Great tour with lots to experience! Something that I enjoy about GAdventures is that they try to help out the local community however they can, and I have enjoyed being part of that. Expect long bus rides, but Vietnam is well organised and we go through by night bus to save some time. If you've got energy within you and that you are ready to explore something new, I recommend this trip for you!

    5.0 - Excellent

I had the most incredible time on this tour and would recommend it to anyone. It helped that I had an amazing CEO Bopha, who was just fabulous with organising/information/knowledge/personality. He always started every day with a smile, and truly made the trip for our entire group. The tour is one of their yolo tours which is the more basic tour and targeted towards younger adults. Which was perfect for me, I am used to a very basic style of traveling and this felt like an upgrade! The accomodations were pleasant and nice, and we only stayed in two hostels, the rest were 3 star hotels. We had four overnight trains which again were all quite standard for trains in Asia, and pleasant with a bed to sleep on. The itinerary was action packed with something new each day. You have to be prepared for travel and bus days, as South East Asia is quite widespread. However our CEO made sure no day was a waste, if we were travelling we would always have stops along the way where we would be shown local ways of life. (E.g. locals making rice along the road, local food markets where we tried tarantula and crickets). And when we got to each destination we would make the most of it as possible. Optionals do cost and some of them can be a little bit expensive. However you simply have to budget for it! Prices do vary slightly to what G-Adventures quotes, however our CEO was full of good recommendations or optionals to organise for us. I found myself doing many optionals I hadn’t planned to do, as they all sounded too go to pass up. You have to make the most of it when travelling through Asia! G-Adventures has their planeterra project where they support and give back to the local communities where they visit. So we attended two G-Adventures planeterra sites which was great to see! Nice to know the company really cares for the areas it visits and gives back to the community. I also felt like our CEO helped us give back to the community in lots of additional ways and it felt very culturally immersive! We visited the locals and would give the children fruit or books, makes you appreciate what these communities go through and how it differs from western life. I had an amazing time on this tour and it was all thanks to my amazing CEO Bopha. Would truly recommend this company and tour to anyone wishing to cover lots of ground in South East Asia with 30 days.

    1.5 - Rather poor

Becareful! Traveling with G is ripped off. There's nearly nothing includes, just only Ankor wat. You have buy optional activities but it's fine. But all tour leaders can sell activities different prices, it means they all get commission of all activities. Normally activities are cost much cheaper. Even visa, tour leaders get commission and seem G ignore or support to get commission. It's not worth with money you pay. Hotels are horrible and dirty. So many hostels. Too long journey, you will spend most time sitting on buses and overnight train. Very stingy company! Don't lose your money for their commission!

    1.5 - Rather poor

Overall it didnt met the expectations! The trip was well organised but it had many flaws. The hotels booked from the agency were dirty and the service wasnt good most of the time neither the breakfasts. Our tour leader although he was very social and enthusiastic, he didnt have the knowledge needed, he was underqualified, he shared wrong information at times, he would not suggest interesting activities, he was most concerned about our lunch and dinner and he would choose very basic food places which most of the time were awful. I didnt feel that he could be very helpful and i would google things on internet to find the information that i needed. Plus i think that at times he would not be discrete. Included activities had guides which most of the time were also underqualified with poor knowledge of english. Our transportation wasnt good either. The excessive speed ( even up the mountains) in combination with unsafe vehicles made me feel unsafe a lot. In general i would not suggest this trip under these circumstances.

This trip was the best month ever. Everything was organised down to a tee, if we're to get abuse at 6am it was there waiting for us so it meant no hanging around. My CEO Sambo made my trip even better that what I was expecting. He was so knowledgeable about each country and each individual place we went to. His recommendations were always spot on. I couldn't fault him. The one thing I wasn't really prepared for was the money aspect, the way the tour is phrased on the website I thought a lot more of the activities were included but that wasn't the case majority were optional. If you want to make the most of the trip do as many as the optional activities as your budget allows as they are part of the experience. It may be my fault not paying close attention to the itinerary with regard to this but I feel its a bit misleading on the website. Just be prepare to spend almost 1000 pound if you do every activity and go out drinking the odd night. I've read many reviews about this trip and some say it wasn't great due to their CEO, so I think it makes a big difference in experience youre going to have over the month long trip. Luckily I had a a fantastic CEO, and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip.

I am recently home from the Indochina tour Bangkok to Bangkok that went through Cambodia,Vietnam and Laos and on to Thailand. I absolutely loved this tour and our CEO Olive was fantastic. She was crazy, funny but was also really knowledable about every where we visited. I think if you are to go on a trip like this it is better to expect the worst from the hygiene here as the toilets were quite gruesome in some places but its all part of the experiences. Breakfasts most mornings are included but these can range from full on asian food to just egg and bread. I had the most amazing time and although the travel can get a bit exhausting, being with like minded travellers made the trip fun and easy. We partied, explored and I feel Ive learnt so much about asian culture and history. Would recommend this to tour ! And hopefully you get Olive as a CEO as she is awesome!

The tour was good you experience things you wouldn't if you were travelling in your own- however I do feel as though the tour is massively over priced and you don't get a lot of activities included at all so you could easily end upu spending another £1000 on activities and food. you could do this a lot cheaper

Indochina Discovery was the best time of my life so far. The first time I have travelled solo and it was fantastic. I had the best group I could possibly wish for. We all loved a good party, we all got along and all brought something unique to the group. We all still speak regularly in our group chat. Our CEO Apple, is a huge inspiration and the nicest women i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. If anyone is lucky enough prepare for the best time and lots of tequila, she knows everyone in every place meaning good discounts for her "family" (as she called us). The activities were amazing, and a large variety of them too. The only issue i had was they were more expensive than they were displayed on G's website (only by a few dollars though). I would budget $400-500 if you want to do most activities (which i did). The places we visited were so eye opening, and it makes you realise how lucky you are. Amazing culture, taking into consideration the places such as Cambodia are very poor, so they are pretty scruffy but its part of the fun. Saying this, it didn't change my opinion on the activities and things we got up to. Laos is stunning!. It is very difficult for me to write everything I loved on this trip, because it was out of this world. I spent £1000, but bought a tailor made suit in Hoi an, drank every night, did most activities, and we ate at nice places. Easily can do it cheaper, but I wouldn't change what I did or spent for the world. I would recommend to anyone, and already have friends who have booked on to this trip for the future. Hope anyone who books onto this has the time of their life, as I did. Enjoy guys! Thank you, Gadventures!
