I am interesting about this trip I went in many places i am adventures person ..I love the adventure , adrenaline etc. I am 48 years old but In very good condition...I went in Socotra last year ...and many young people's sometimes can t fallow evreything. Is there a flight in this tour or everything is on bus and/or trains? If yes, is there a guide that will travel with us during the flight or are we gonna go on our own?

Yes, there is an internal flight from Hanoi to Vientiane and the CEO will handle the tickets. And yes, the CEO will be with you on the flight and travel with the group.

What is the recommended baggage weight to take on this trip? Are we allowed all baggage types (carry on, check in bag)?

There is a weight restriction for the internal flight and trains on this tour. Each passenger is allowed to carry one checked bag with a maximum weight of 20kg (44lbs). Additional bags or excess weight charges may apply. We generally recommend backpacks rather than suitcases if possible.

Can the extra optional activities be added on closer to the date or on the day of or do I need to book them at checkout?

Is this trip offering the chance to visit Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Rai province?

Could you please confirm the group size? Could you please confirm the group's age (approximatively)? Could I know more about where we'll be staying during the nights? Could you tell me what you would recommand to someone so they can enjoy this trip? What should they be prepared for?

The maximum group size for this trip is 18, so far on your chosen date we have 5 travellers booked. They are born in the 1990s and early 2000s, mix of males and females and a mix of solo travellers and a couple/pair of friends. Accommodation will be as follows: Simple hotels (twin-share) (14 nts), hostels (multi-share) (9 nts), sleeper trains (4 nts) homestays (2 nts). A variety of styles of hotels/guest houses are used on this trip. In many instances they might not be like what you are used to back home as service and efficiency can vary. In some areas we stay in simple local guest houses in stunning locations - rooms are small and simple and there may only be shared toilet facilities and showers.

Is there a way to combine better quality hotels and extras?

This tour forms part of our Classic tours, which is a standard services level. Our itineraries, and hotels are set. Should you wish for upgraded service level, I would recommend looking at the National Geographic or Geluxe trip styles.

For different VISA, I can take it during the travel or I must take it before the departure?

Visa and Border Entry Requirements: Visas and entry requirements are the responsibility of the traveller. Generally, Thailand: Most nationalities do not need a visa for Thailand for stays of 30 days or less. Vietnam: Visas need to be arranged ahead of time (BEFORE your trip).   Yes, there is an internal flight from Hanoi to Vientiane and the CEO will handle the tickets. And yes, the CEO will be with you on the flight and travel with the group.

  We have terms and conditions in place which outline our cancellation policy. Changing dates would be cancelling, and then re booking.

  The booking terms and conditions are as follows: Up to 30th day prior to departure: Your 20% non-refundable deposit is saved on your file as Lifetime Deposit towards a future tour. From 29th day to 3rd day prior to departure: 70% of travel fare becomes non-refundable: 50% cancellation fee + 20% Lifetime deposit. From 2nd day prior to departure up to departure day or in case of no show: 95% of travel fare becomes non-refundable: 75% cancellation fee + 20% Lifetime Deposit. We recommend to look into travel insurance coverage to recoup non-refundable fees.

  There is a weight restriction for the internal flight and trains on this tour. Each passenger is allowed to carry one checked bag with a maximum weight of 20kg (44lbs). Additional bags or excess weight charges may apply. We generally recommend backpacks rather than suitcases if possible.

  The maximum group size for this trip is 18, so far on your chosen date we have 5 travellers booked. They are born in the 1990s and early 2000s, mix of males and females and a mix of solo travellers and a couple/pair of friends. Accommodation will be as follows: Simple hotels (twin-share) (14 nts), hostels (multi-share) (9 nts), sleeper trains (4 nts) homestays (2 nts). A variety of styles of hotels/guest houses are used on this trip. In many instances they might not be like what you are used to back home as service and efficiency can vary. In some areas we stay in simple local guest houses in stunning locations - rooms are small and simple and there may only be shared toilet facilities and showers.

Generally, Thailand: Most nationalities do not need a visa for Thailand for stays of 30 days or less. Vietnam: Visas need to be arranged ahead of time (BEFORE your trip). Laos: Check E-Visa eligibility. Cambodia: Visas can be obtained on arrival or in advance.

  I'm French, so I only need to take visa for LAOS before departure? And for my luggage, how does it work? Is it better if I take a large bag or a suitcase? Given that we'll be moving around regularly.

  Yes you will need a Laos Visa. As for luggage there are some weight restrictions for internal flights and trains max weight limit is 20KG. It is ideal to travel with a checked bag sized bag as it is easier to transport around.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
