  We are 2 families. Each family consist of 2 adults and 2 kids ages 15 and 17. We would like to first go to Manuel Antonio, then to Monteverde, then to Arenal. We prefer 4 stars (or higher) hotels. Also, some activities at each area. We would like to stay at Tabacon Thermal resort at lease 2 nights. Can you give us an estimate for a tour? including stay, transportation, and activities.

    As this is a Classic trip with no age restriction the ages do vary depending on the date. For 4 June there are 4 travellers booked born in the 50' and 70's.

    Most activities still continue in the rain, however the tour leader would communicate with the group and you vote if you want to do it or not. Most cases it can be moved as well.

    Our cancellation policy is below: Up to 30th day prior to departure: Your 20% non-refundable deposit is saved on your file as Lifetime Deposit towards a future tour with G Adventures. From 29th day to 3rd day prior to departure: 70% of travel fare becomes non-refundable: 50% cancellation fee + 20% Lifetime deposit. From 2nd day prior to departure up to departure day or in case of no show: 95% of travel fare becomes non-refundable: 75% cancellation fee + 20% Lifetime Deposit

    We take reviews into consideration when choosing our hotels. That being said, some might not experience the hotels the same as others. All of our hotels are centrally located for convenience as well as comfortable. Should you wish to stay elsewhere, you will forfeit this service and we won't be able to offer a discounted rate. You will need to source and confirm your own hotel at your own expense since this is our trusted supplier.

    Credit cards and debit cards are very useful for cash advances. Visa cards are the most widely accepted cards. While ATMs are widely available, there are no guarantees that your credit or debit cards will actually work in Latin America. Check with your bank. You should be aware that to purchase products or services on a credit card a fee of 5%-10% usually applies. Do not rely on credit or debit cards as your only source of money. A combination of US dollars cash and cards is best. Always take more rather than less, as you don't want to spoil the trip by constantly feeling short of funds.

    The tour and dates you are interested in are currently on a request basis. This means that once you proceed with the booking, we will need to submit a request to confirm availability.
    
    This process typically takes 3–4 business days, however, for destinations such as Japan, Europe, Turkey, and Roamies trips, it may take 5–10 business days. During this time, we work to confirm all components of your tour package, including (but not limited to) accommodation, activities, and transport.
    
    While we always aim to confirm your booking within these timeframes, there may occasionally be delays depending on supplier responses.
    
    If availability is confirmed, your booking will be secured and fully confirmed.
    If availability is not confirmed, any pre-authorised funds will be fully refunded.
    
    Please note that once the request process has been initiated, it cannot be interrupted or cancelled, and cancelling during this period will not entitle you to a refund.
    
    Also during the request process, we ask to not book flights until we advise if the tour is confirmed.

We closely monitor traveller feedback and make adjustments where needed to ensure properties continue to meet our standards for comfort, cleanliness, safety, and location.
    
    That said, our trips typically focus on locally owned, characterful properties rather than luxury. The aim is to provide a more authentic experience that reflects the destination while still offering a comfortable and welcoming stay. Because of this, standards can feel a little different from large international chains.

  The included meals mentioned only 1 lunch and would like clarification on this. Could you also let us know if you can assist with breakfast and if there is an additional fee for it?

    On this tour only 1 lunch is included and all other meals will be at an additional cost. The guide will advise on this once on tour. We can not pre-arrange non included meals but the guide will give restaurant suggestions and will advise on breakfast and lunch options.

  With regard to the optional activities, I have a few questions: 1. Do you have an estimated schedule for each of the activities, i.e. start time & duration. I understand things could change, but I just want to know the rough estimate. So that I know if some activities are overlapping with each other time-wise. 2. When do you need to sign up for the activities? When is the latest time? 3. On top of the listed price, do I still need to pay for the 13% IVA and tips?

    The activities that are needed to be pre-booked are the Costa Rica Adrenaline Bundle and the Manuel Antonio Catamaran Tour. All other activities on the websites full itinerary are booked and paid for on tour.
    
    We are able to only give estimated times for the pre-bookable activities and those booked on tour, we do not have the time and or duration for most of them.
    
    The only other fees that would be on top of the tour cost will be the optional add-ons, flights (booked by yourself), tips, visas, spending money and insurance coverage cost.

  I am interested in Costa Rica quest tour and was wondering if it would be possible to book it although I have turned 40 in 2025, as I know that you have specified the age until 39. I was also wondering if there is any space available for the tour that starts on February 2 until February 10.

    Costa Rica Quest does not have an age limit, therefore a 40 year old could join, however the departure for the 02nd is fully sold out. There is a possibility you could join for the departure on the 06th February, however we would need to request space and in order to do this we would require full payment, in the event that we could not get you confirmed it would be fully refundable.

  My son is 11 years and he turns 12 years on July 19. Would he be able to go on the tour as I see the age is from 12 years onwards? Would a nine year-old be permitted on this tour?

    We will allow passengers to book who are 11 years and 9 months as of the first date of travel. So with the son of 11, if the tour date was for April or May, then we would allow him to join. For the 9-year-old, it would not be possible.
