My major complaint relates to accommodation on Caye Caulker. I received an email on 15/3 advising they had an issue with Vista del Mar GH & I should find my own accommodation for 19 & 20/3 & they would reimburse me. Since when is it a tour participant's responsibility to find accommodation. I spent around 2 hours of my holiday time trying to find cheap accommodation during high season without success. As I was staying at The Sky Inn ($70 per night) I made a booking for 19 & 20/3 as it would have been cheaper than any other available hotel. Most hotels had no vacancy signs. I have a receipt for this hotel. My first request as to how & when I would be reimbursed went unanswered. It was not until 26/3 near the end of my tour, after asking again, that I would only be reimbursed their contractual arrangement of $70 for 2 nights. My second complaint was only being advised itinerary details (transport & accommodation) the night before. On 2 occasions I waited until 7pm before sending a message to provide information. This information should be made available days in advance to prevent stress. My third complaint was even though the departure time to visit Tikal was 4.30am I was not advised the pickup location. I waited for 1.5 hours at my hotel before I gave up. After sending a message of my dissatisfaction the operator offered a shared tour departing at 10am (departure location provided). This 10am tour would be a better option for elderly people like myself who are not interested in climbing temples. My fourth complaint is having to find my own way to some hotels after having been dropped off. This is difficukt when you don't have access to the internet. Other problems: Oasis hotel on days 5 & 6 had no booking for me. After showing reception my advice from Marvelus Travel they then allocated a room to me. It would be helpful if Marvelus Travel could advise which accommodations include breakfast. Panarachel ,- operator advised a guide would take me to my boat tour. I would need to return to Azul hotel around 4pm & wait until meeting a tour operator representative at 5pm at the operator's office. It would have been helpful if I had been able to leave my suitcase at Azul hotel whilst doing the boat trip. Overall, I would not recommend this tour operator until such time they upgrade their communication of information & take responsibilty for what they are paid to provide (Caye Caulker accommodation).Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 11th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 11th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Marvelus Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
