  I was really happy with the tour, we visited all the places I wanted to see and some extras along the way. There was so much variety in the landscape, from Sahara Desert to lush Cedar Forests and everything in between. The schedule was very pleasant, most days we left the hotel around 8.30am. There were plenty of toilet stops and places to buy water. The tour guide we had for the full trip was very nice, Yassin. We had other local tour guides for the visits in Marrakesh and Fes, and of course they take you to the shops they have a connection to. But still, they were very knowledgeable and welcoming. The accommodation was simple but a great variety, staying in a genuine riad in Meknes, the Sahara desert camp, and the traditional house in the Dades Gorge to name a few. All were comfortable, very clean and safe. Everywhere we stayed the staff were very kind and welcoming. WiFi available everywhere we stayed (apart from the Sahara of course). The breakfast is basic and basically the same everywhere, think continental plus eggs (mostly made to order). One person was celiac and did struggle as it’s lots of bread and pastries. Of course you mostly stop at restaurants that can accommodate groups of tourists so it’s often a set menu style of limited variety. It was nice in Meknes where we went somewhere we could try some other Moroccan food instead of just Tagine and skewers. Top tips: bring an electric portable rechargeable fan. Sometimes the AC on the minibus struggled and the AC didn’t work at the Sahara desert camp. I did wear my hiking shoes but I didn’t really need them, a sturdy pair of trainers would have been enough. You do need a scarf to wrap for the camel ride as the wind can make it dusty. And I was glad I had the sleeping bag liner for the Sahara nights stay. If you are charging your phone etc, bring a cable with a USB-A type connector (not just the new USB-C type) as the Sahara camp and the mini bus didn’t have plugs, but only this as an option. There were some downsides however. The mini bus was very uncomfortable. We did have a 16-seater for 8 guests so at least we could spread out and change our position. At first I thought I could manage, but as the road conditions worsened I started to dread getting on. It’s a 2000km road trip and I really felt it. The seat pads (that you sit on) were mostly loose, and even though you can face a 300 dirham fine for not wearing your seatbelt a number of them didn’t work, were too short to go around an adult, or had been installed the wrong way around (you pull them from the hip not the shoulder) so they were tight across the chest which would have caused some nasty damage if we had been in an accident. Also, I have a food intolerance and the guide we had for the day in Marrakesh didn’t say anything to the restaurant where we stopped for lunch. I ended up eating something I shouldn’t and had painful issues for the rest of the week. This really was a shame, as to me it’s part of the reason of taking a fully guided tour.Show more

Safety and comfort are our top priorities, and your feedback about the seatbelts and loose seat pads on the minibus is deeply concerning. We have already passed these exact details along to our transport management team in Morocco to inspect and service that specific vehicle immediately. We want to ensure all safety restraints are fully functional and comfortable for the long $2,000\text{ km}$ journey. Furthermore, we are incredibly sorry to hear about the breakdown in communication regarding your food intolerance during your day in Marrakech. Group tours should provide a safety net for dietary needs, and it is disappointing that our local guide did not properly coordinate with the restaurant, leading to you being unwell for the rest of your week. We are addressing this directly with our Marrakech guiding team to ensure that all guest allergies and intolerances are strictly communicated and double-checked at every single meal stop moving forward. Accommodation mostly very good, loved the Meknes Riad, Fez very good too, the 1st and last days good (I got a bath, brilliant) though breakfast not great and staff miserable in the restaurant. Only one not great was the one near the "Monkey Fingers". Tour included loads of good stuff.Show more

  Great tour which gets you to see all sides of Morocco. Yep there are hours in a minibus, but there are regular stops, and this is what is needed to see what is a large country. Well worth it. Morocco has such a depth of culture and history. Tour guide was great - he could answer every question asked, and was very clear about where we needed to be and when without herding us around. A very positive experience. Hotels matched the price of the tour, so around 3*, ranging from the "rustic" (which added to the experience), mostly average but comfortable, through to the fabulous glamping in the Sahara and the great Riad in Meknes. A good tour and a good experience of Morocco. Would recommend.Show more

  My husband Dennis and I recently enjoyed a 9 day tour through Morocco. We absolutely loved our experience! The tour company was well organized and provided us with excellent accommodation, a reliable, comfortable vehicle and the most lovely staff members to accompany us. Yasmin, our guide, was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. His English is excellent and he has a great sense of humor! Idris, our driver, has so much patience driving on these busy roads! We always felt very safe with him driving us around. He is a friendly, kind man, always cheerful and helpful. We were amazed at the huge range of landscapes in this beautiful country. We learnt so many new things on our travels. We both thoroughly recommend this tour. Our traveling companions also added to the feeling of having a special experience.   We did the Best of Morocco tour from Marrakach to Casablanca. We really enjoyed seeing Morocco and the tour guide and driver worked hard. We saw some beautiful places and wished we had perhaps booked a longer tour with more time in each place. Things we struggled with included: 1 - The Mercedes 15 seat sprinter van was really tight for most of us. We were a mix of Americans and Australians (tall people) and the van seats were very uncomfortable, especially on the long road days. 2- Hotels were mostly 3 star. 3- There were some very long days where we did not get to our lodging until 9 or 10 at night and still had to eat dinner. 4 - There seemed to be confusion on how much money to convert and how much we needed on any given day. We got a pre-trip letter discussing money, but a more detailed break down for each day including entry fees for monuments and tips for the guide each day would be helpful. 5 - Morocco is a very beautiful country, but be careful in trying to see too much in a short period of time because it can make for some very long days.Show more

I hear you loud and clear on the comfort of the Mercedes Sprinter; when you have a group of tall travelers, those long road days can feel quite cramped, and that is certainly not the experience we want for you. Your comments about the 3-star accommodations and the late arrival times are also very well-taken. We try to pack in as much as possible to maximize the value of the trip, but we clearly hit some limits with the travel fatigue on this route. I especially love your suggestion for a more detailed daily breakdown of costs. Providing a clearer "cheat sheet" for monument fees and tips is a fantastic idea to reduce confusion, and I’ll be working with our team to implement that into our pre-trip documentation. Thank you for the reminder that while seeing it all is exciting, it shouldn't come at the cost of rest. We are taking your feedback to our logistics team to see how we can better balance the itinerary and vehicle comfort moving forward.
