  This trip includes a mixture camping, hotels, lodges and permanent tents. While camping, tents, sleeping mats and sleeping bags will be provided and the crew & camp hands will set these up for you. There may be the occasional night stop, when we stay in the grounds of a hotel or at a campsite which may also have rooms/cabins available. In this case there may be a choice of camping or upgrading to a room. Rooms cost between approximately USD60-120 per room per night for a twin room and cannot be pre-booked. Most of the stays will have basic facilities however, there will be 2 nights of wild camping where no facilities will be available. As for fencing it really depends on where we will be staying as the sites can change at anytime. Some properties may be fenced where others might not be.

  The best time to visit would be during dry season which is May to September/October. During these cooler, winter months, vegetation is thin and animals congregate around permanent water sources, providing the best Big Five sightings. It's hard to say when these trips fill up as it really depends but the maximum group size is 16 people which is quiet small so space is limited. The dry season also falls during a time when many people are off work for holiday so the June-August time frame tends to book up faster.

For tours departing after October 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
