- Day 1
Podgorica to Žabljak
You'll drive north from Podgorica across the Emperor's stone arch bridge spanning the Zeta River, which sets the tone for the day ahead. From there, the route takes you to Ostrog Monastery, a 17th-century structure built right into a cliff face that's quite something to see in person. After that, you'll reach a viewpoint overlooking Piva Lake, known as the world's highest artificial lake with its distinctive turquoise color. The day wraps up with your arrival in Žabljak for the night.

- Day 2
Žabljak - Durmitor National Park
Start your morning at Black Lake, the largest glacial lake in Durmitor National Park, where you can walk around the hiking trails and hit various viewpoints. Later, you'll take the scenic ring road through the UNESCO-listed Durmitor National Park, passing through Snake Valley, Sušica Canyon viewpoint, and Mount Prutaš panorama. The route continues along Sedlo Pass where dramatic mountain peaks and glacial lakes surround you. By evening you're back in Žabljak.

- Day 3
Tara River Rafting
Start your day at Đurđevića Bridge, where you'll get your first look at Europe's deepest canyon. From there, a guided rafting trip takes you down the turquoise Tara River, with waterfalls and canyon walls surrounding you the whole way. Along the route, you'll stop at viewpoints to take in the scenery and visit the 16th-century Dobrilovina Monastery, which has some really nice frescoes inside. Lunch happens while you're driving toward Kolasin, featuring regional specialties that reflect the area's food traditions.

- Day 4
Mrtvica Canyon & Biogradska Gora National Park
This day is all about hiking through the natural landscapes south of Kolasin. Head to Merdurečdje and walk through Mrtvica Canyon, where turquoise pools dot the canyon floor and an old stone bridge connects the trail. After that, continue on to Biogradska Gora National Park and spend time walking the trails around Biograd Lake. The lake is glacial-fed and surrounded by rainforest that hasn't been developed, so the whole area feels remote and quiet.

- Day 5
Bjelasica Mountain Range Jeep Safari
A private jeep takes you through the Bjelasica Mountain Range on dirt roads that wind through thick forests and past mountain cabins. You'll stop at several viewpoints where you can see the Komovi peaks in the distance. Midday, you'll pull into one of the mountain villages for lunch and try local cuisine made in the region. By late afternoon, head back to Kolasin and take a relaxing walk through the town center to wind down from the day.

- Day 6
Kolašin to Budva
The day starts with driving through Morača Canyon, one of the world's most scenic roads, and stopping at the 13th-century Morača Monastery. You'll continue to Skadar Lake, the largest lake in the Balkans, for a boat trip through clear waters past lush vegetation and small villages. A wine tasting follows at the family-run Kopitović Winery, then you explore the historic rocky peninsula of Sveti Stefan. The evening has you heading to Budva for your night on the Adriatic coast.

- Day 7
Budva to Kotor
Start with Budva's old town, then take a short walk to Mogren Beach nearby. A stop at the small island of Prevlaka comes next to visit its monastery. From there, you drive to Kotor where the UNESCO-listed old town has narrow alleys, historic squares, cathedrals, palaces, markets, and museums to wander through. It's worth spending a few hours here exploring, then you drive back to Budva for another night.

- Day 8
Budva to Podgorica
You'll drive into the mountains with stops at several viewpoints that show off panoramas over the Gulf of Kotor and Adriatic Sea. Mount Lovćen in Lovćen National Park gets a visit where sweeping views stretch across nearly all of Montenegro, and you'll see the mausoleum of King Peter Petrović. The traditional village of Njeguši is next for a tasting of locally made cheese and prosciutto. From there, you head to Podgorica where the trip ends.
