The island is a bit of paradise. Love being able to experience a slower pace. And the Grand Hotel is elegant and a stepping back to a simpler time.

Mackinac Island and the Grand Hotel were the best!!! The property was beautiful and the people were the best; very helpful, friendly and polite . A place I have always wanted to visit. Eating breakfast and dinner there was a beautiful experience. The views from the Cupola Bar were beautiful. The tour of Chicago was so fun and Guide Dave was wonderful, knew so much, answered questions. Dinner at Harry Caray's was perfect; fun place, great people and glad I was there, a good distraction for me, to celebrate what would have been our 50th anniversary. The Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park were amazing; didn't know what to expect. The surprise drive across the Bridge was nice!!!! Loved the Dow house and grounds; I could have spent more time there; very interesting. In Bay City I enjoyed the river walk area and the band in the park right in front of our hotel. Henry Ford museum and Greenfield Village were amazing. I could have stayed there a lot longer; hard to take it all in. Dawn and Lonnie were the best; definitely made the trip wonderful. I learned so much about Michigan and was so glad to see these few parts of the State. Farewell dinner at Ford Garage; great way to top it off!!!

All our experiences were my favorite. I was not too excited about the tour. But, every stop was enthralling! The stay at the Grand Hotel was enchanting. The Meijer museum/gardens. The Ford Museum. I loved it all

Tour was great . Our bus driver and guide were the best. We really enjoyed the tour of Chicago. Guide was excellent . Got areal Chicago hot dog. Dinner at Harry Carrys was excellent. Only negative on whole trip were airline reservations Collette made. The large group had late departures that ruined their trip. We paid extra and had good flights and great limo service

Almost all of the tour was very nice. The Grand Rapids stop felt like it was just a filler and the hotel there was less than satisfactory. Highlights were the tour director, Dawn Spencer, Chicago, the Grand Hotel and Ford Museum. Also, had some issues in the hotel restaurant in Dearborn.

Our tour manager, Dawn Spencer, was the best-so fun, caring, organized! Our driver, Phil, was equally great, navigating some tight spots expertly. The Hyatt Regency in Chicago was pretty fancy but nothing can surpass the experience of staying at the Grand Hotel for 2 nites. You had to dress up for dinner but well worth enjoying a varying 5 course meal nightly. Afterwards, there's a pianist or harpist and later dance music with a live band along with rocking on the Adirondack chairs on the world's longest porch. The charm of horse drawn carriages makes Mackinac Island special. And then, there's always the famous fudge everywhere! Finally, going to the Henry Ford Museum was an unexpected treat in how massive and creative that museum displayed Americana. Everyone should see it-one of the best museums ever and I've been to the Louvre, Smithsonian, New York's MOMA, de Young in SF!

Too many hotel changes & not enough free time. Favorite part was Chicago & the architectural River cruise that we went on when we came in a day earlier.
