London
Start with a morning tour of central London hitting Westminster, Parliament, the City, and the Thames. Your afternoon is open, though you can arrange a visit to Windsor Castle if you'd like. London to Cambridge - York - Durham
Head north from London toward Cambridge and walk around the colleges. After lunch there, continue on to York where you'll see the cathedral and Roman walls, plus the shopping streets. From there, push further north to Durham, a medieval town with a great cathedral and castle setting.
