You'll arrive in Bucharest and get settled at your hotel. After lunch, there's a panoramic city tour that covers the historic quarter and the Palace of the Parliament. The rest of the afternoon is yours to wander around on your own. Dinner's included.

- Day 2
Bucharest - Sinaia - Bran - Sighisoara
Heading into Transylvania, you'll drive through the Carpathian Mountains and forests. In Sinaia, walk through the gardens at Peles and Pelisor Castles, then visit Bran Fortress (Dracula's Castle) from the 14th century. After lunch, continue to Sighisoara, a walled medieval city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner happens at Count Dracula's restaurant in Vlad the Impaler's birthplace.

- Day 3
Sighisoara - Biertan - Sibiu - Hunedoara - Timisoara
First you'll see a fortified church in Biertan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then head to Sibiu to walk through its narrow streets and squares. After lunch, there's Hunedoara Castle, considered Romania's most beautiful. From there, continue to Timisoara where you'll have time to check out the city's elegant central squares.

- Day 4
Timisoara - Belgrade
The trip crosses into Serbia this morning, about a 3-hour drive to Belgrade. A panoramic city tour covers the parliament, city center, and Kalemegdan Fortress. You'll also visit the Museum of Yugoslavia where Tito's Mausoleum is located. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.

Belgrade - Sremska Mitrovica - Republic of Srpska - Sarajevo
You'll stop in Sremska Mitrovica, a historic city on the Sava River with Roman roots, and see the Imperial Palace of Sirmium. After that, drive through the Republic of Srpska into Bosnia, with lunch somewhere along the way. By late afternoon you're in Sarajevo. Spend time in the historic center and check out the bazaar, an old Ottoman market with traditional shops. Dinner's included.

A guided tour of Sarajevo shows you its religious diversity with mosques, churches, and synagogues, plus a 500-year-old mosque showing strong Ottoman influence. From there, head to Mostar to see the historic center and the iconic stone bridge. You'll have lunch and free time in Mostar. Then it's on to Croatia (border procedures might take a while). You'll arrive in Dubrovnik by evening, and dinner's included.

Dubrovnik
This morning there's a panoramic tour of Dubrovnik with a local guide, exploring this beautiful clifftop city surrounded by walls and the Adriatic Sea. Stop at the Franciscan Monastery with its historic pharmacy and the Assumption Cathedral. A boat trip goes to Lokrum island to see eleventh-century Benedictine monastery ruins. You'll leave early for Montenegro, handling border procedures while enjoying coastal views at the Bay of Kotor. A ferry takes you across the bay to Kotor, a beautiful walled town with Venetian influence. Stop in Budva, a walled village by the sea, for lunch. Then it's into Albania (customs procedures) and on to Tirana. Dinner's included.

Tirana - Struga - Ohrid
A panoramic tour of Tirana covers its mosques, Clock Tower, and ministries. Midday you'll head inland through mountain scenery and villages, then drive through beautiful countryside around Lake Ohrid. Border procedures get you into the Republic of Macedonia, and you'll stop for lunch in Struga, a lakeside town. Continue to Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Ottoman influence, and see the Plaosnik Monastery and the ancient ninth-century university. Dinner's included.

Traveling through Macedonia into Greece, you'll stop in Bitola to see its Ottoman and neoclassical architecture, then stroll along Sirok Sokak with its cafes and shops. After border formalities, continue to the Meteora region and stop in Kastraki village. Lunch happens there, then you'll explore Meteora Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit one of the famous cliffside monasteries. Arrive in Kalambaka with dinner included.

Kalambaka - Delphi - Athens
You'll travel south through the Thessaly region to Delphi, then explore the archaeological site overlooking the Gulf of Corinth with nice views. Lunch is available there. Next is Hosios Loukas Monastery, one of Greece's beautiful Byzantine monasteries and a World Heritage Site, known for its eleventh-century mosaics. From there, continue to Athens, arriving in the evening.

- Day 12
Athens
A city tour of Athens with a local guide covers the Presidential Mansion, Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games happened, the National Library, and the bustling city center squares. You'll also see newer neighborhoods built after the 2004 Olympic Games. The tour ends at the Acropolis (admission separate). Later you'll transfer to Plaka, a neighborhood known for Greek tavernas and local folklore.
